Age 68, died 8 pm, Sunday at I.C. Hospital. Survived by wife, one daughter, two sons, one brother, one sister, four step-sons, nine grandchildren. Funeral services 3 pm, Wednesday at Roth Funeral Chapel, Rev. A. M. Parrish officiating, Interment in Mt. Kenton Cemetery.


C. L. McClanahan Dies; Funeral Friday

C.L. (Buck) McClanahan, 44, Paducah businessman, died at 1 pm Wednesday at Riverside Hospital.

He lived at 3426 Clark's River Road, where he also operated an ice cream establishment. He formerly owned a grocery store at 11th and Ellis Sts., and Broadway Grill at 12th and Broadway.

A native of Graves County, he came to Paducah 34 years ago.

Mr. McClanahan was a member of the Clements Street Church of Christ where funeral services will be held at 2:30 pm (DST) Friday with F. W. Gould officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.

He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Maude McClanahan, two daughters, Miss Pamela Sue McClanahan and Mrs. Phyllis Curtis, Paducah; his parents Mr. and Mrs. E.O. McClanahan, Paducah, and two sisters, Mrs. Ruby Slusmeyer, Paducah, and Mrs. Louise Winfrey, Toledo, Ohio

Friends may call at Lindsey Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be R.D. Thorne, Radford Stroud, Clarence LeNeave, Tam Penn, Jullian Roper and Taylor Cress


Mrs. Rowlett Dies in Kansas

Mrs. Annie Rowlett, 90, formerly of Paducah, widow of W. R. Rowlett, died Monday night in Minneola, Kan.

She was born in Fort Henry, Tenn., and was a member of the Christian Church.

Mrs. Rowlett is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Pearl Olson of Minneola, Mrs. Blanche Holston of Memphis, Tenn., Mrs. Grace Boucher of Harrisburg, Pa., and Mrs. Maude McClanahan of Paducah; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

The body will be brought to Lindsey Funeral Home where funeral arrangements are pending.


Mrs. Lucy Rowlett Last Rites Today

MURRAY, KY., Feb 11 (Special)

Mrs. Lucy Rowlett, 83, died at the home of a son, J. D. Overby, 716 Sycamore, at 9:30 am today. She had been ill for two weeks.

Mrs. Rowlett is survived by two other sons, John Overby of Radford, VA, and Sherman Overby of the Hawaiian Islands; one sister, Mrs. Addie Gillium of Dukedom, Tenn., and five grandchildren.

Mrs. Rowlett was a member of the Williams Chapel Church of Christ.

Funeral services will be held at the Max Churchill Chapel at 3 pm Sunday. Don Kester will officiate. Burial will be in the Old Salem Cemetery.
