Photo ( kind of useless information, because that's just one of my faces; you definitely won't recognize me, because I love changing):
Favorite music:
Nico, Velvet Underground, Kurt Weil, Marlene Dietrich, Edith Piaf,
Bob Dylan, Throbbing Gristle, folk-industrial (Current 93, etc.),
Bob Marley, Boris Grebenshchikov, Yana Dyagileva, dance music,
Maria Callas, Igor Stravinsky, Tom Waits, Kate Bush... and so on.
Favorite and recently seen movies:
"Salo or 120 days of Sodom" (and other things by Pier Paolo Pasolini),
"Prospero's Books" (and things by Peter Greenaway), some movies
by David Lynch ("Eraserhead", "Lost Highway"), "The Doom Generation",
"Crying Game", "Total Eclipse", "Europa Europa", "Okoge", "Shine",
"Happy Together", "Zamri, Umri, Voskresni". Saw "Querelle" by
Fassbinder and didn't get it. Querelle of the book is beautiful and
his crimes are fascinating, but the movie is just a freak show.
Fassbinder fails to make a viewer love the killer. Read books,
guys.
Books:
Well, basically I don't like books. James Joyce, Gabriel Garcia
Marquez, Russian early XX century authors: Khlebnikov, Kharms, Blok...;
philosophy stuff, for example, Wittgenstein, though I cannot boast
of reading any of his books to the end. Recently read: "1984" by
Orwell, "Journals" of Andre Gide, "Querelle de Brest" by Jean Genet
(re-read once again, thanks too Appolinaria), Oscar Wilde's "Portrait"
and "Importance of Being Earnest", Shakespear's "Tempest" (just to
compare with that Greenaway's movie).
Things I hate:
any intolerance, especially antisemitism, racism,
nationalism, intolerance based on religion or sexual orientation;
stupidity; slaves who forget their duty to slave
and become rude to their masters (janitors, taxi drivers, presidents);
idleness; boredom; monotony; rules, traditions and customs; things
going according to a plan; cockroaches; death.
Things I like:
strawberry, smoking, living, singing, working, youth
Recent revelations:
No. 1. (While watching water slowly making its way on the ground in the direction of a
black hole).
Our life is nothing but taking a form of a vessel made of
circumstances. You can overcome all the difficulties and win all your
enemies just to see yourself sucked, like a piece of shit, in the
black hole of history.
No. 2. True revelation always sounds vulgar.
Go back!
