Ray Bourque
Many people are willing to bet on the suggestion that the day Ray retires, will be the same day he is inducted into the NHL Hall of Fame. He's set and broken countless records over his long 21 year career, and he continues to do so. In his first NHL game agenst the Winnipeg Jets in 1979, he had both a goal and an assist. During his lengthy career, he's been selected to play on the All-Star team 18 times, he's won 5 Norris Trophies, and one King Clancy Trophy. He is also the only defenseman to ever score 400 goals. This season, he was traded to the Avalanche, where he was a huge factor in their quest to the cup. Unfortunately, the Av's were knocked out of the playoffs by Dallas. Grrrrr.
