Not many people would argue with me when I say that Mario Lemieux is definately one of the best players ever. The Pittsburgh Penguins opened the 1984 NHL Entry Draft by making Mario Lemieux the obvious first overall selection. He quickly made his presence felt by scoring a brilliant goal against the Boston Bruins on his first NHL shift. From then on, he was given lots of awards and many of the NHL's top honors. On April 26, 1997, Mario Lemieux scored the last goal of the season for the Penguins, and the last goal of his amazing career. That year, Mario was inducted into the NHL Hall of Fame.
