{BEGIN GOSPEL OF EVAN II}
======================================================================

*Sunday February 9, 1997; Approximately 28 People attended
-----------------------------------------------------------

The service opened with "Rev. Ev." playing a
political speech on tape by an unnamed major politician who is in turn quoting Thomas Jefferson, while addressing an audience in this modern era; saying: "In no way, is this a Christian nation!"

Then to coincide with "Reverend Evan's Agenda
of intergrating various lifestyles and cultures and various religions; he played a couple selections from a CD of singer/songwriter "Dar Williams". The first song is called: "The Christians & The Pagans" which merge metaphors of the supposed family life of the songwriter about her Christian and her Pagan relatives sitting down at the same table together; just like the Apostles of the man we call Jesus: Peter the Jew, and Paul the "Gentile" "Greek" sitting together at a "Gentile" feast.

The second song, also by "Dar Williams"
called: "The Pointless, Yet Poignant Crisis of a Co-ed"; depicts the story of a lady who once ran a "Hemp Liberation League"; but found that `every time the group would meet, everyone would light up' and get nothing done. It seemed the true message, went over all the "Pothead's" heads.

Then "John de A.R.K. (Almost Road Kill); the
recent "Accordion Playing Addition to Boulder"; played the Accordion for us. Formerly a Cornell University Lab Researcher - who studied Diseases of Insects; eventually was struck by a moving vehicle; hence the name A.R.K. (Almost Road Kill). Upon his rehabilitation he no longer had the capacity required to continue his research; and relocated to Boulder where his children live.

As a "PK" (preacher's kid) child himself;
his father was a minister, so John was raised as an Organist in several churches. Now he plays religious hymns in the form of a Gospel Rock Blues with a Bob Dylan and Dr. John mixed vocal style.

During each Service a different object is
passed around to indicate who has the floor to speak at that moment of possessing the object, ie: a walking staff, a Large Native American Peacepipe, a precious fist-size stone, or an arrowhead, etc...

Some people just thank the people of the
"H-Church" for just existing and being the most "Down to Earth" Church they've attended, ever. Some bring up political matters; everything from the atrocities that have been done to the Native American, to the present involvement of the American Government in the massive genocide of the "Timorese" people. Some speak of the right to worship and alter our consciousness level however we choose whether we are: "Sacred Herb Church" people, "Church of the Sacred Herb of Durango" people, "Rastafarian Church" people, or the "Peyote Church of the Native American" people.

Discussion of going "Public" in the "Media"
and on the "Internet" to influence an argument in "U.S. Supreme Court" about the "Separation of Church and State"; arises. Some hoping, aside from seeking rights for the 4 Churches; that the question of: "What the `Hell' is the `Christian Right' doing in the `Republican Party' ?!!!!"; will become a National Issue.

Still others use the session as a
"Narcotics Anonymous" meeting and discuss how long they've been clean from such extreme drugs such as: Heroin, Methamphetamines and Crack with the one exception in their testimony; that Marijuana is the one mild "Godsend" for someone so used to "altered states of consciousness" for so long. It is a non-dangerous medication for a former "Suicide Junkie!" And the Congregation receives them all well, and makes them all feel welcome.

"Rev. Ev" was noted saying to the "Born-Again
Christian" friends advocated by "Born-Again Mick": "Although it seems with the exception of discussion of "Christianity"; there are a large number of Pagans in this group of people, who've rebelled against their Christian upbringing, because of all the lies they claim they've been taught; and to the fact of the "Murderous" "Crusades," incited by the "Catholic Church," so long ago, and the way the "Missionaries" continue to destroy the "Native and Ancestral Cultures" of other people, and force them to accept "Jesus through the eyes of the Church."

"A-Josh" spoke: It is such a shame that the man we
now call "Jesus"; is a most misunderstood man. There might be more respect for him than for the Church if the people were to understand that the man known as "Jesus" and "The Christian Church"; are two totally separate entities from each other. "Jesus" had no intention in starting a church; "Paul" did. "Jesus" intended to restore the "Kingdom of God" by liberating "Judea" from the "Roman Empire". But that's another story entirely.

The one thing that seems to have become
"Ritual" is passing around a big "Smudge Stick" of "Sage" and blessing one's self in each one's own individual way; usually by waving it around the body in symbolic ways. This "Ritual" was naturally acquired by the crowd purely accidentally.

An Anonymous Charity was conducted; some
needy people received some monetary aide and the remainder went to rent.

Certainly the controversial subject of
sharing the "Holy Sacrament of Marijuana" is usually an "Unspoken Given", to the people on the outside; but it has actually grown to be much more sacred under the ministry of "Reverend Evan". People would bless themselves and the pipe upon smoking from it; silently praying for a moment in each their own way; holding it out in front of them, over their heads.

The Congregation is quite cooperative with
all the preliminaries of the service and patiently wait for the segment of the service of the "Holy Sacrament" which is performed casually while other people speak. Generally only about 5 Grams of Marijuana is shared either in the form of a large "Peacepipe" or a couple of "Joints" (Marijuana Cigarettes) passed around the large circle.

The amount of the "Sacred Herb" is regulated
sort of automatically according to the number of people attending and according to how many people pitch in to fill a bowl or roll a joint. The level of quality of the herb is what people around here call "Schwag". It is a low potency strain of "Marijuana". It is used out of respect for others. Some people have allergic reactions to high potency "Marijuana". Certainly we don't want to hurt anyone. The second reason is; it is economical. "Schwag" quality which is sometimes referred to as "Dirt"; is "dirt cheap."

So in the end each person receives one or
sometimes two "hits" or "breaths" off the "Sacred Herb". It is simply a "Ritual of Respect," toward the "Herb"; and is not used in Church to intoxicate people. Everyone knows it may be used recreationally on their own time during their daily lives. So there is no reason to abuse it in "H-Church".

(The following conjecture an argument about "Holy Sacrament"; is derived from the discussions which occurred within the last few * services.)

Just as during "Communion" in the "Christian
Churches"; where people take one sip of an "Alcoholic Wine" to represent the awareness of "Christ's Lifeblood"; they do not drink to intoxicate themselves at that time. Yet those people may use "Alcohol" in their daily lives.

Page 12

{ > Hchurch.upd }

And to indicate that the "Sacred Herb Church"
is of a "Higher Order" and more responsible than the common "Christian Churches": They do not, knowingly administer the "Sacred Herb" to anyone under the age of Eighteen. Also they specifically announce in each service that no-one under the age of Eighteen may partake in sacrament. The announcement would only be waived if the "Reverend" recognized everyone in the Circle and all being adult).

While in the many "Christian Churches" the
have been known to administer "Alcoholic Wine" to children well under Eighteen during communion. This is outright negligent to expose youngsters physically and internally; to a life threatening drug. Even just a sip can encourage "Alcoholism" somewhere down along the road of their lives. A Child's Innocence and Freedom is important to people of the "Sacred Herb Church."

The "Public" has been conditioned by
"Government" to view "Marijuana" as "Very Negative"; and certainly it may have Its downsides if abused, but the fact of the matter is: the "unjustifiably legal substance" of "Alcohol" has destroyed more lives and more families than Marijuana ever has or ever could.

The only reason Alcohol is legal today; is
that too many people were being murdered in Gang Wars of the 30's, during "Prohibition"; and that it would put an end to "Mob Control" of the Alcohol trade and finally the Government could tax it for their own benefit.

But it is a different world today,
because the "Mob" that is controlling the "Drug War" of today; is our own U.S. Government. They can't stop it because it commands too much "Power" and "Money". If America even simply stepped out of this "War"; it would weaken Its International Status among the many "Elite International Organizations."

Finally, the argument over the use of
"Industrial Hemp" to produce Paper, Clothing and Flour for Food; where the "THC" (the Medicinal Quality of "Pot") is absolutely absent; would threaten the "Lumber", "Cotton", "Flour" and "Textile" industries with competition. Certainly the Unions wont like this and the Government would have to recognize these unions (especially if they were run by "Organized Crime Mobs"). It's an issue of "Money," "Big Business" and "Power"; not an issue of "Morals" and "Drug Abuse," as our Government Leaders would like us to believe. ( Power is determined by how much Money one has the ability to spend and command. More Money at one's disposal = More Power.) The money they are spending is usually other peoples' money; Taxpayers money.

"Reverend Evan" announces that he must step
down from his post by the time the "H-Church" goes public again; projected for April 20, 1997 at 4:20 in the afternoon (which Translates to 4/20 at 4:20 P.M. :: 420 being a Police Penal code used to describe Marijuana use; adopted by the Hippies and Churchgoers long ago.)

"Reverend Evan" has exposed himself as being
the "Victim of D.A.R.E. persecution mentioned at "H-Church" and by the media in the summer. As the story goes; "Reverend Evan" is a Registered Nurse who had a `bout with Methamphetamines in his past but is now clean of that. He continues to use Marijuana. Then Parents of children at the same school "Evan's" daughter attended; found out about his past and present involvements and brought charges of "Negligence" upon him.

These parents are representing the "Family
Organization": "D.A.R.E." - A right wing parent organization; to keep kids off drugs, (which is a great cause) but is influenced by the agendas of the "CNP" - the Coalition for National Politics. Which is in actuality; the Christian Right of the Republican Party.

Maybe there should be an argument about the
Separation between Home and State. (I mean a real effective one!)

In a court decision; the custody of "Evan's
daughter was awarded to a "D.A.R.E." family on the premises that the "Girl's" exposure to a father who uses Marijuana has caused her "Attention Deficit Disorder" and "Post Traumatic Stress Disorder" so now they have her under psychiatric observation at her foster home under the influence of prescribed psychiatric drugs on a daily basis.

When she was with her father "Evan"; she was

never under the influence of Marijuana or any daily prescribed drugs; and she was happy and healthy. This has caused a separation between Evan and his wife.

What has caused any possible problems with
the "Girl", has to be from her being removed from her parents.

"Reverend Evan" says that his daughter is
most important to him than anyone or anything. He must appear in court in the state of Montana to fight for the custody of his daughter. It would be bad publicity for the "H-Church" to have a Leader involved in a "Drug Oriented" case.

So "Rev. Ev." will step down as soon as we
appear publicly.

The Hippie Underground Valentine's Bash.
Many "H-Church" folk were there especially the younger Hippies from Central Park Summer Church. There was a huge Vegetarian feast, live entertainment by three local musical groups; and of course a Drum Circle was created.
Page 14

Interestingly enough the place also had a
"Bridge"; like on a ship or a starship. It was a computer room equipped with a series of about 6 computers linked together; two of them being in another part of this 15 room "Hippie Underground Palace"; which provided hours of entertainment of strategic Video War Games, for the more "Computer Geek" Intellectual Hippy types. These are the potentially would-be organizers and brains behind an Activist Mobilization.

Suddenly, we appear publicly. It was
a gorgeous Summer day in Mid-February. So I walk across town, through Boulder's "Central Park" and I see some transient Hippies crashing on the lawn in a circle. Little did they or I know that when I reached the "H-Church's" indoor meeting place this week; a posted sign read: "Church in the Park today" in fact in the exact spot the transients were gathered. Yet it was going to be a day without Sage.

I met a few "Churchgoers" on the way to the
indoor meeting place yet they didn't seem to appear later in the park. I wondered if some chose to conduct church indoors while the rest of us communed in the park.

Interestingly a caravan or convoy of Hippies
evolved starting with meeting of one other Brother exiting the meeting place. We made our way down to and along Pearl street. As we came upon "Penny Lane Cafe" a Sister joins us in our walk to the Park. Shuffling toward the "Pedestrian Mall"; we find the "Reverend Friendly" collecting himself on the next corner. He joins our pilgrimage and tells us of the crime report in the local paper that targeted him for a mugging, which he claims his innocence, yet ended up incarcerated for 35 days.

We mentioned "Friendly's" arrest earlier
last month and questioned whether it was conspiracy or possibly his conduct. He did time for a mugging he never committed; he claims; but remembered having a conversation with the supposed woman victim. He believes an actual mugging never occurred; and the woman mistook the "Reverend's" words and she must of thought he was attempting to mug her.

Well, we continued on across the mall and
encountered some Brothers drumming. "Church in the Park" is the word; and they followed suit. Another hundred feet and the "Hippie Wanna-be-s Youth" of Boulder were crowded at the "4:20" brick planter on "The Mall", and a score of them joined along.

"Hey Bigger Hippie Brother; I think we got us a Convoy!"

Page 15

"John de A.R.K." the "H-Church's" resident
accordionist was "Street Performing" with his squeeze box and chose to sit this one out.

With Great Spirit in the Hearts of everyone; we sat down with the unsuspecting transient Hippies with an onslaught of about 38 Brothers and Sisters equally mixed this time. A pleasant surprise to these newcomers and a handful of other first timers who were so pleased to receive this blessing of this spiritual gathering of these "Children of the Universe." (These are people of all ages.)

To our own surprise; "Rev. Ev." and "Rev.
Michael Marijuana" were not present. Yet in their place was the original and charismatic "Reverend Michael Domangue"; along with his version and testimony of why he left the "H-Church" and Boulder City . He said there was "too much bureaucracy within; and having Brothers and Sisters bad mouthing each other; creating dissention into separate groups with personal agendas." The Brotherhood and Sisterhood was falling apart. "He didn't want to be a Den Mother for a bunch of Cubscouts and Brownies" ... or something like that.

Then the "Reverend Mike Domangue"
spoke his usual words, which contrastly opposes "Rev. Ev.'s" and "Reverend Michael Marijuana's" methods and agenda. It was fresh to hear the old words of the original philosophy again.

"No-one person is the leader here for we are
all Brothers and Sisters,together; we all lead !"

"Each of us have our part to contribute
into making this community our sanctuary. This is our once a week opportunity for spiritual peace together, with our spiritual family to raise our level of consciousness, while surrounded by a "World of Babylon and Bureaucracy". We should be together and not separate. As a family we can support and defend our spiritual practices but separated and taking aimless paths; will give us no platform to run on to bring an end to the persecution of our people."

"Reverend Mike Domangue" announced the start
of the "H-Church's" Web Page on the Internet by Wednesday February 19, 1997. "Reverend Evan" held the responsibility of getting the Web Page up, but couldn't accomplish this in the previous months so "Rev. Domangue" completed and initiated the process. Although the internet address is not yet revealed. The opportunity arose for anyone to contribute to this Web Page. It will be up and running but under development for sometime to come.

"Reverend Friendly" stood up for the first
time since the Summertime in the hills and spoke his usual message. "Hear and listen to the small voice within each of us. That is where you will find God." This is usually a lengthy Sermon.

Then the amused Bicycling Police ride up to
us laughing and rudely interrupting and saying: "What's up Mike? How ya' been doin'? This is the first indication of Police awareness of us this season.

Page 16

{ > Hchurch.upd }

The Police stayed around for a little while;
watching us and talking to transient onlookers. There seems to be an undercover Blonde Female Cyclist Cop, donning racing attire: helmet and spandex clothes; too; who repeatedly returned to report to the other Cops. This was noticed by people; before, during and after "H-Church".

Then a few of the younger members got up to
speak their messages, all basically referring to the fact that this is "our way of life and if other people have the right to change their consciousness with alcohol; then we should have our rights recognized concerning "Marijuana"!"

A collection for rent was conducted to pay
for the next month at the Hall.

It was such a beautiful day that the Circle
broke early. The people remained close but in scattered groups. I walked from group to group and chatted with everyone. Then I realized the "Inner Circle" were in heavy discussion and joined them in the middle of their heated words.

"A-Josh" spoke up and verbally attacked "Rev. Mike":

""Reverend Evan" and "Reverend Michael Marijuana" have an extremely different agenda than you! They speak of the "Hierarchy" and the Leadership of this Church!

You speak as if "Everybody is One Together!"
"No One Person is to be The Leader!" "Each of us has a part in the input to contribute!" "We All Teach; and We All Learn!" "All of Us; is the Minister in the Sacred Herb Church!""

"Rev. Mike" responds:

"I hold nothing against them. It is a very
difficult and challenging responsibility to keep the "Sacred Herb Church" running. They took the responsibility from me to hold services indoors at the Lodge and had to figure out their own ways to continue an Outdoor Tradition inside shelter for the Winter. This is a "Wilderness Crowd in a Cage!" You Just try to feed the animals now! I will have a talk with the "Reverends" anyway!"

The "Closer Brothers" began discussing plans
to commit a "Test Case" in the "very near future;" to test the so-called "Waters" of the "Judicial System" and plan a strategy to bring a conflict about "The Separation between Church and State" to the level of the Supreme Court. I asked them how do they plan to do a "Test Case"? "Rev. Mike" and the other "Inners" replied in unison: "Simply! .... By running a test case!"

Page 17

{ > Church }

The answer was no explanation. It was quite
suspicious to me! I didn't like the sound of it; but I didn't know what to make of it. Although I've heard this talk before; last Summer.

(A "Test Case" is to have one or a few of us
arrested and the "H-Church's" attorney would see if he could win the case in the local court; and if so, eventually bring the whole "H-Church into it and fight all the way to the Supreme Court. So who's gonna "take the fall?" ...Or are we going to be set up for an arrest without prior knowledge?)

"Rev. Mike's" final announcement was: "Church
next Sunday at the Meeting Hall; 2 P.M.!"

The Summer Hippie Youth wandered to the Creek and held a Drum Circle and danced around. An unknown collegiate, 22 year old looking male, of a brown skin, like Indonesian or similar, with a Drum and a Camera, started photographing everything; including the Hippies' young children. This concerned me after hearing the dirt that is going around town about a local "Child Exploitation" ring. The Photographer's name is: "Suppriano". He has short dark brown or black hair. Appearing about 140 lbs; approximately five foot six; slim build; and wearing sunglasses or prescription lenses.

"Can someone get a positive I.D. on him,
please?"

"But please remember, not to accuse anyone
without probable cause!"
