About

Ultra Ball is my version of the classic brick breaking games. After seeing the selection of these games available over the internet, I was very disappointed. After all, with all the talented programmers out there, you would think there would be a ton of quality clones of these popular games. This is definitely not the case. Since I love these games, and there are few of them worth playing , I decided to make my own. I was determined to make one of the best (if not the best) brick breaking clone ever (of course, since this is a matter opinion, I can't tell if I succeeded or not J, let me know what you think!).

Ultra Ball takes advantage of Microsoft's DirectX, making it run very fast and efficient on Win95/NT machines. With frame rates around 60 fps, Ultra Ball has wonderfully smooth movements and animation. Add that with high quality sound effects (thank you Eric Bostrom!) and you get a very addictive game! What makes it even better is that it's absolutely free!

The object of the game, like most brick breaking clones, is to destroy all the bricks. To help you do this, you are supplied with an arsenal of potent weapons. You have the ball (obviously) which must not fall past the paddle. Along with this ball, you are able to obtain different paddles, each with a unique weapon to aid you in your quest. Good luck, and have fun!
