Lisa Wilcox may very well be my favorite actress from the Nightmare on Elm Street series. She played the lead role of Alice Johnson in the fourth and fifth movies, and, for the record, she is the only character to have fought Freddy in two movies and survived (assuming that Nancy Thompson and Heather Langenkamp are two separate characters). Most of what I've been able to find about her has been from the official movie magazine of A Nightmare on Elm Street 5 by Fangoria. She says about her character in this movie, "My character has definately changed between Nightmare 4 and this film. In Nightmare 5, Alice has a sense of confidence and outrage that makes her almost a madwoman. What makes Alice different from the previous Nightmare women is that she is basically on even terms with Freddy, and her powers are equal to his." She continues, "Alice is in control... and I like the idea that she is willing to put her life on the line for the ones she loves." Lisa also appears on Elm Street: The Making of a Nightmare, a video that goes behind the scenes of the fourth movie. She talks about how disgusting it was to look at Freddy's make-up but how she had to get used to it, how good a director Renny Harlin is, and how she often had to react to things that weren't there when she performed. If you're interested in seeing more of Lisa Wilcox, you can buy the video of Star Trek: The Next Generation, Episode 57: The Vengeance Factor. She looks pretty much the same in it as she did in the fifth movie, except she has this gray thing on the side of her face, because she's supposed to be an alien. I'm not a Star Trek fan, but she gave an excellent performance as a tragic villain trying to avenge her tribe's death. Lisa has also appeared on the T.V. series General Hospital, Falcon Crest, Hotel, MacGyver, It's A Living, Something is Out There, and Murder, She Wrote, and she was a regular on the short-lived Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventures (a T.V. series based on the movie). Lisa Wilcox has recently guest starred on Pacific Blue, Walker, Texas Ranger, and Chicago Hope. She played Diana Blaine in the episode "Inside Straight". She has small roles in the films Wedding Band and Men Seeking Women, and she stars in "Watchers Reborn", a film released on video. She co-stars with Mark Hamill (Star Wars) as a scientist whose experiment with animals turns deadly. She does a wonderful job and looks just as beautiful as she did in the Nightmare series. She is also rumored to star in the upcoming Freddy vs. Jason movie (wouldn't that be great?!?!).
