All about Scorpio
Scorpios get a lot of press for being the most sexual sign of the Zodiac--which can be true, but is not always the case. What is true, is that Scorpios are passionate and intense. They are into power, and into unearthing the deepest, dirtiest corners of any person or situation they encounter. They may not always be aware that that is what they're doing, but Scorpios like things intense, and have a rare ability to attract passionate and tumultuous circumstances into their lives. They can be extremely aggressive, and cunning, and no one is more determined or ruthless when it comes to getting what they want. They have a love of secrets, and intrigue, and are good at creating an air of mystery about themselves. At worst, Scorpios are jealous and manipulative.
Love and Romance
Even if they aren't the "sexiest" sign, Scorpios certainly are the most passionate! They really do attract intense emotional and personal situations! Scorpios have a tendency to be possessive and a bit jealous. They give a lot to their mate, and they want a lot in return. Since they are always looking for another peak experience, they CAN be indefatigable lovers, who also bring with them the other side of passion: fights and a constant sense of emotional upheaval. This is more likely with younger Scorpios; with age, the experience of so many "life and death" emotional experiences grants a certain degree of wisdom and understanding to many a Scorpio.
Work and Career
Scorpios want power--even if it's just power over the water cooler! If they turn their famous focus and intensity upon their work, nothing will stop them. They are good at behind the scene manipulations and negotiations, and their love of secrets makes them good investigators. Creatively, Scopios will not want to make anything tepid, or simply attractive or beautiful. They'll want to make art or music or literature that provokes and reveals heretofore unrevealed layers of existence.
Friendship
Scorpios make loyal friends. Their love of secrets make them good confidantes, and their need to confide their own secrets to SOMEONE insures that they'll KEEP yours- after all, they want the same consideration from you! They are reliable, and will defend you to the death against any real or imagined slight from outside. Scorpios are famous for their sharp tongues, which is only a problems if you get into a fight with one!

Scorpio's Matches
Weird Matches Sagittarius, Libra, Aries and Gemini are the Signs which don't quite make sense with Scorpio. Of these three, Sagittarius and Scorpios actually often make very good lovers. Sagittarians are known to be a very physical sign, which adds a nice element to the dynamic. Somehow, this combination, which shouldn't work, often does for a while.
Scorpio and Libra are usually on very different wavelengths. Most often, Libra will want an easier relationship than Scorpio will offer. Likewise for Scorpio and Aries-in spite of the fact that both signs share Mars (the planet of drive and aggression) as their ruling planet. This combination can result in powerful sexual attraction with a certain sense of mutual respect.
Just Friends
Scorpios get along well with the Earth signs, including their opposite, Taurus. The other Earth signs, Capricorn and Virgo, generally make very good friends with Scorpios, and can be good mates or lovers.
Scorpio will appreciate the practical quality of both Capricorn and Virgos. They'll love the Virgoan analytical perspective, and these two signs can talk forever about anything intuitive or psychic. Challenging
When Scorpios don't get along with someone, they REALLY don't get along. The most dangerous combination, arguably in all of the Zodiac, is a Scorpio and a Leo. It is certainly one of the most combustible.
Scorpio is into power and control. Leo likes to be the center of attention and attract drama. THIS is a dangerous, although very passionate combination, one likely to have the best, or at least the loudest fights imaginable. What could be more difficult than two stubborn people, one of whom is determined to exert power in every situation, and who won't let a single emotion pass by easily, and an easy-going, but attention-hungry leader? This combination actually CAN work, if the Leo is especially easy-going, and if the Scorpio is very self aware and able to control or at least have a little distance from their intensity.
The other sign that a Scorpio "should not" get along with is Aquarius, who is just too impersonal for Scorpio. Scorpio, on the other hand, is too intense and needy for Aquarius. Additionally, Aquarius like a bit of distance, and a kind of friendly, dispassionate quality to even their closest relationships, and Scorpios are just not that way!
Romance
Scorpio is a Water sign, and tend to get along best with the other Water signs, Pisces and Cancer. These three signs will certainly connect emotionally. They all share a tendency to put their feelings above any other aspect of their life.
Pisces will soften Scorpio's aggressive emotional nature, and could introduce them to a more spiritual or metaphysical approach to their emotions and subconscious. They will share a love of the occult and metaphysical. Pisces will appreciate Scorpio's desire to find meaning and depth in every encounter and activity, while Scorpio will help Pisces to be more focused and could encourage them to be more determined in following through on their ideas, feelings, and creative impulses.
Scorpio's opposite sign is Taurus. Taurus will make Scorpio feel secure and safe, calming their tendency towards possessiveness and jealousy. The biggest danger here is that while much of the Scorpio need for control will go right over Taurus's head (which will be entirely unnecessary)--watch out if the Taurus starts feeling their being pushed around!
