Polk County

The only known operation in Polk County was the Pineville and Prairie Farm Railroad. It was a wooden tramway located at Pineville in the far southeast corner of the county, and ran about 5 miles southeast into Barron County. It was owned by the Pineville Lbr Company and began operations in 1888. A Lima Shay locomotive was used to operate the line. It was taken up a few years later.
