Welcome to the Santa Clara Camera Club located in photogenic California! We are a group of avid amateur photographers who make prints, slides and digital images. We meet to share images, for good fellowship, education, and competition. We belong to 6C (a local club-of-clubs) and we have a monthly newsletter called the Shutter Clix.
Meetings:
We have three meetings each month:

The meetings generally start with announcements, member awards from 6C competition, and introduction of visitors and the invited commentator/judge. At the competition meetings, images are displayed one at a time, analyzed by the commentator, and judged. Based on the competition results, some images are selected to advance to 6C competition.
If you are a visitor and would like to share some of your images, please bring them by 7:20 pm and enter them 'for comment only'. See the Club Format for information on how to prepare your images. The club members will be happy to help you.
The Program Meeting is an opportunity for members to informally
share their knowledge of all aspects of photography, currently with an
emphasis on digital techniques. There is typically an
interactive presentation followed by discussion.
Meeting Location:
Our meetings are held in a conference room at the Santa Clara County Sheriff's administration building at 55 W Younger St, San Jose, 95110. Use the building's main entrance, and then enter the first door on the left. See the Building Map for a visual location. (The map uses the address "75" only to give a more precise pointer location. "55" is the correct address.)
There is ample free parking in a lot across the street from the building. The best entrance to the lot is on 1st Street, about one-half block south of Younger. This Parking Map shows the parking lot entrance location.
There are several handicapped parking spaces in a separate lot just west of the building, with the entrance on Younger.
Annual Banquet:
Our annual banquet is scheduled for April 12 at the Golden Oak Restaurant. Print viewing starts at 6:00, with dinner at 7:00 and awards to follow. You will want to be sure to be there! Bring a completed sign-up sheet to the next meeting.
Club Fees (annual):
Individual - $45
Couple - $40 each
Social - $10
Dues are pro-rated after April and visitors are welcome.
