Case Studies of
Women's Self Build Housing

Welcome! This page is about the wonderful achievements of seven Australian women who built their own house! This site is based on a report written about these women. It details the research methods used to collect the material for the report and presents the stories of the women. The sections on each woman will eventually contain photographs of them at work on their houses.

This report was authored by Caroline Denigan. This original research was carried out as part of the requirements for the award of a Bachelor of Architecture at Deakin University.

The case studies presented here contain photographs, illustrations and quoted material that is subject to copyright. Excerpts have been reproduced here with consent of the copyright holder.
