NASCAR Poems By Aaron Libersat!
PEPSI 400
Under the Musco lights of Daytona
Forty-three cars are set to run
On the pole sits Bobby Labonte
Who sat there in February
The pace laps have been ran
The pace car is in
Now he feild is on it's own
It takes a few laps
To get to speed
Rain, on lap 13
But the fans still wait
Only slowed to 65
Lap 32 ,a big wreck
Lepage has taken
The worst of it
65 once again
But it's only the beginning
Lap 107
Pardus spins
Bringing out the third caution
Lap 142
It's out again
Little is the cause
Five more laps
It's back to racin'
One to be halted by the rain
Red flag's out
Fans sit and wait
With five to go
Anticipation grows
33 minutes
Under red
Whats going through those drivers heads
Back to racin'
Here we go
Just 5 more laps
And then it's over
White flag's out
Jeff's in the lead
He's on the move
The checkered waves
It's all over
Jeff's won under the Musco lights

Victory Lane

In Victory Lane
The fireworks fly
Lighting up the Daytona sky
As the smoke clears
Jeff Gordon appears
Standing atop his car
A Pepsi shower for the crew
For the 11th time this season
Gordon's at the top
With the championship in grasp
Just three more race he's got to last
