STAY TUNED FOR AN UPDATE
I have recently regained contact with Kvarforth after he moved away from Stockholm about a year ago. This previous news from August came from www.blabbermouth.net and I have not yet confirmed the status of Shining and Kvarforth's related activities. All that is clear at this moment is that the new Shinig album "IV: The Eerie Cold", will be out soon, most likely eary 2005. I've also added a link to www.devilmusic.se in the "Merchandise" page. They have Shining and Selbstmord related merchandise. More info as I get it.

SHINING CALL IT A DAY
Swedish black metallers SHINING have officially called it a day. The group's final album, "IV: The Eerie Cold", will be issued this winter through Avantgarde Music.
"I have achieved what very few others have with this ill child of mine and I sincerely hope that you will hate the new album," said SHINING mainman Kvarforth in a statement. "It's a legacy over eight years of complete disgust towards every single one of you fuckers out there and will for sure make you realize you can't do better, the chill along your back, this is where we will remain from now on, SHINING are no more."
In addition to ceasing all SHINING-related activities, Kvarforth has also decided to end his work with one of today's most respected underground record labels, Selbstmord Services.
Commented Kvarforth: "The firm has been hanging in fragile threads the past two years. I tried to do something about it but failed gigantically, most of our artists are now singed to other labels though, so expect no fucking mercy from these harmful units the coming months! I want to send my deepest gratitude to all of you who supportred Selbstmord Services 'till the end, no fucking matter what. I owe you all... You know who you are."

GUESTBOOK SHUT DOWN
At Kvarforth's request, we are shutting down the guestbook. Kvarforth believes the guestbook is not needed on this website, mainly due to many "pathetic" entries lately. There is no need for this sort of feedback. Any questions or orders of cds and merchandise can be e-mailed. Also this page will report any news that fans might need / want to know. Very soon more news will be posted here, including tour dates! Stay tuned.

SHINING NEWS
Avantgarde Music are at the moment negotiating with SHINING the licensing rights to finally repress the band's mythical debut album "I - Within Deep Dark Chambers" and the second one "II - Livets Ändhallplats" as well, so that the whole catalogue can be packed into one record label only. There is also talks for a SHINING minitour in february 2003 that shall visit Italy and close countries (Austria). The Swedish release party was cancelled but a future gig in Sweden is still in the planning.

SHINING III AVAILABLE
After some delays, Shining "III - Angst, Självdestruktivitetens Emissarie" is finally available! It can be ordered from this website by first sending an e-mail to: shiningmanager@hotmail.com . The price for 1 cd is 120 SEK within Sweden and 15 € world-wide (postage included). At the moment we do business the simple way, sending cash well hidden in an envelope to the "merachandise" address found on the "contact" page. Be sure to mail first for confirmation. Soon the website will be updated and improved, making the merchandise page more complete and informative.
Shining III is also available through Avantgarde Music's mailorder Sound Cave which can be found by following a link to Avantgarde's website. Soon I'll have more information on the distribution for Shining III. It should be coming soon to the good metal/music stores near you. More Shining news coming soon, including possible tour dates, which are being planned. The release party that was to take place in Stockholm has been delayed and will take form as a "special gig" in the future instead of a release party.

SHINING III PROMOS OUT NOW
The third chapter of Shining's suicide instructions kit is ready to be unleashed! Look for a release date of SHINING "III - Angst, Självdestruktivitetens Emissarie" in early September. Promos are available, since the end of July, and mailed now to all media partners of Avantgarde. NEW RELEASE DATE FOR SHINING III
The release date for Shining's 3rd album has been pushed back to August 26th 2002. Until then the new label Avantgarde Music will be heavily promoting the new album titled III - Angst, Självdestruktivitetens Emissarie. A release party is being planned for September at (possibly) Hard Rock Café, Stockholm. A tour is to follow. More detailed info coming soon.

NEW SHINING WEBSITE CREATED
This website began it's creation during the month of April. When ready, it will take over as the new Official Shining Website. The website should be fully operational by the release of Shining's 3rd album (this summer). Make sure to have suicidesquadron.cjb.net as the address to this website.
SHINING NEWS
A Shining interview is included in one of Sweden's biggest metal magazines, Close-Up # 51 (May/June). Shining will also be releasing their 3rd album through Avantgarde Music this summer. The exact release date is still unknown at this moment. More info will be posted here very shorty, including the release date and the new artwork for the new album.
