Dramatis Personae
|
Pericles: The person responsible for shaping Athens into what we know it today. Credits include building the Parthenon and making Athens the richest state in Greece.
Nicias: The leader of Athens that created and implemented the Peace of Nicias.
Cleon: A democrat of Athens who voted to attack Sparta and creating the Archidamian War.
Alcibiades: The new leader of the Athenian Army after the Peace of Nicias: an outrageous, daring, rash young nephew of Pericles.
Lamachus: The commander appointed to mediate between Nicias and Alcibiades so that neither political party would gain the upper hand.
Demosthenes: A dynamic commander who was sent to assist the inactive Nicias with the campaign.
