Shrimp - 1 lb
Garlic - 6 pods
Whole black Pepper - 2 tsp ( This may be added more to individual's taste)
Cummin seed - 2 tsp
Tamarind paste - 1 tsp
Chopped Onion - 1/2 cup
Oil - 2 tbsp
Curry leaves for flavour
Salt to taste

Grind pepper, cummin seed and garlic coarsely.
In a pan add oil, to this add the chopped onion,curry leaves and fry for 2 minutes.Then add the ground mixture and stir for 3 minutes.To this add the shrimp,salt and stir well . Then add the tamarind paste followed by 1/2 cup water and cook. Make it to a thick gravy.
