F.K.N.S.               DESERT MEMORIES

     The five girls were laughing and chattering as they left the
mall. Two of the girls held large bags of purchases. A man appeared
in front of them. He wore a black cape and cowl. He looked like he
came out of "Arabian Nights". "Greetings," he said with an evil
grin.
     One of the girls, with short blue hair, felt like she was
being overwhelmed. Images were rushing by in her mind, too fast to
be understood, but both she and the strange man were in them. She
fell to her knees and Rei knelt beside her. "What's wrong?" she
asked.
     The girl, Ami, shook her head. "I don't know, it's like a
memory that's coming back in quick spurts. I'm dizzy."
     The man grinned and stepped towards them. Ami put up her arms
as if to ward off an attack. Minako looked down at her. "Ami?"
     Ami was pale. "I can't understand! What's going on?!" The
images drove her near to panic.
     The man laughed, "This is easier than I thought. I would have
thought you a better opponent."
     At the word "opponent" Makoto put up her hand and grabbed her
Henshin (Transformation) wand. "Jupiter Star Power, Make Up!"
     The others followed her lead. "Venus Star Power, Make Up!"
     "Mars Star Power, Make Up!"
     "Moon Cosmic Power, Make Up!"
     (Rei) One had thigh length black hair with purple highlights.
She wore a suit that was made of a short red skirt over a red and
white body suit with a red and purple bow on it. There was an
identical bow on her back with long red ribbons trailing behind
her. She wore red high heels and she was tall. On her forehead was
a gold circlet with a red stone in the center. This must be Sailor
Mars.
     (Makoto) Behind her was a tall girl with her brown hair pulled
into a high pony tail. She wore a green skirt and ankle high boots.
Her bow was pink with a green middle and the stone in her circlet
was green. She was Sailor Jupiter.
     (Minako) Next to Jupiter was a blonde haired girl. Her hair
was pulled half up and held in a red bow. Her skirt and shoes were
orange. The bows were blue. Her stone was orange. She was obviously
Sailor Venus.
     (Usagi) Lastly was a girl with meatball braids in her blonde
hair. She wore red boots and bows. Her gloves were white. Her skirt
was white, gold, and blue. There was a moon symbol where the others
had stones on their circlets. This was Sailor Moon.
     They clustered around their friend. "What have you done?!"
demanded Jupiter.
     The man shrugged in annoyance. "This is going to be difficult
after all." Then he disappeared.
                                  *
     That night everyone slept over Usagi's house. The five girls
and Chibi-Usa gossiped aimlessly for awhile, but there was no
avoiding that afternoon's incident. Luna sat in front of Ami, "You
said they were memories. What are they about?"
     Ami shrugged, "They go too fast for me to see."
     Further questioning got them nowhere and they all went to
sleep.

     That night Ami was haunted by a dream. She saw a man in a cape
and cowl, both garments were black. She looked around, she was in
a desert, it was night time, and she was cold. She was wearing her
Princess dress.
     The man laughed, "Welcome Princess," he drew out a sword. "You
are the anchor of oasis and you must die before I can take the
planet of Mercury."
     He jumped at her but was blocked by a column of light that
faded to reveal a man. "I am Guardian Rihen, here to stop your evil
and avenge my home!"
     "I killed you!" the man said in fright.
     "Not quite, Princess Mercury saved me. Now I will return the
favor."
     And then she awoke to a pillow bouncing off her head.
                                    *
     They spent the day with Usagi's boyfriend, Mamoru. Ami was
exhausted from lack of sleep. She followed her friends but didn't
join in conversation. They stopped at the arcade.
     Ami noticed a tall dark haired boy talking with Mamoru. When
Mamoru joined them again, Ami asked, "Who was that?" she asked.
     Mamoru looked at her strangely and answered, "An American
named Ryan."
     Ami looked to the retreating form of the boy, who looked back
at her strangely. She broke the eye contact first.

     That night they sat in front of Rei's temple. They could see
that Ami didn't want to be alone, but they didn't seem to be able
to help.
     However, their attention was diverted. The strange man again
appeared. He was holding a glowing sphere. Makoto cursed and
shouted, "Jupiter Star Power, Make Up!" Nothing happened.
     Rei tried, "Mars Star Power, Make Up!" Still nothing.
     The man laughed, "It's useless." He looked at Ami. "You've led
me on a merry chase, but you've no chance now."
     Two things happened simultaneously, a red rose stuck in the
ground in front of the man and silver glowing disk landed on the
ground. The disk grew into the column of light that faded to show
Rihen from Ami's dream. Mamoru, in the form of Tuxedo Kamen and his
and Usagi's daughter from the future, Chibi-Usa in the form of
Chibi-Moon (meaning "little" moon) stood not far away.
     To the Senshi's dismay, Mamoru immediately lost his
transformation. Rihen looked around. "Mamoru, what's going on? I
sensed that she was in danger and instinctively came here."
     The man laughed coldly, "So both of you are being drawn to the
other, how interesting. I'd love to see how this played out, but
I don't have the time."
     He pointed at them and Ami & Rihen began to glow. Amy grabbed
her Henshin wand and shouted, "Mercury Star Power, Make Up!" Like
the others, nothing happened.
     Rihen reached out and grabbed her on pure instinct. The
feeling of her in his arms was distractingly familiar. He knew he
had to get her somewhere safe. His thoughts were few and far apart,
but instead of disappearing in the strangers teleportal beam they
disappeared a flash of silver.
     The stranger looked annoyed, but not upset. He turned back to
them. "Oh well, it seems I'll need a little more help." Chibi-Usa
vanished with a scream. He glared at Usagi, "Stay here, Princess."
Then he disappeared.
                                    *
     Raye watched as Usagi sobbed. "We have to go after them." she
said firmly.
     "We can't." Usagi said in despair. "He'll hurt Chibi-Usa if
we do."
     Makoto snorted, "And you think he'll send her home if we
don't? Tears won't solve anything Usagi. Get yourself together!"
     Usagi looked up, stunned. Then said, "You're right. How can
we tell where they've gone?"
     Luna approached with Ami's Henshin wand. "We can use this to
find her, but you must know something first. Just as Ami was
remembering, so was I. It involves a dimensional portal close to
Mercury.....
                                  *
     Ami awoke on a patch of grass. Nearby was a stream and
waterfall, but when she looked up all she saw was empty space.
Rihen sat next to her. "Where are we?" she asked.
     "It's called haven," he said. His long dark purple hair was
now glinting with silver. "It conforms to whatever your mind
perceives as peaceful. You are controlling what you see."
     She looked down and saw she was wearing a light blue dress.
"Who are you?" she asked, looking at his pearly wings.
     "I am an American tourist to Japan. I'm getting images from
somewhere else though. I see a desert." he said.
     "I am Ami, of Mercury. I'm getting the same images, I see
you." she said blushing.
     He smiled, "I see you too, but we are both older."
     Ami tried to concentrate on slowing the memories and for a
moment, she succeeded. However, she saw what she needed to see. She
put out both hands and said, "Mercury Ice Crystal...... Behold!"
A soft light blue light hardened into a blue glowing stone. Rihen
reached out to touch it a began to .... remember.
     *Near Mercury is a dimensional portal. The Royalty of Mercury
have the ability to go through it. On the other side was a
beautiful planet with symbiotice creatures, called Luces. One was
as small  as a snowflake and just as delicate. One was humanoid
with pearly wings. The planet was snowy and beautiful.
     But the planet was taken over by a being called Aisiv. He
destroyed the tiny beings and made the planet a desert. The
Guardian of the planet was injured. He was unable to access his
power and was trapped in his "Haven".
     When Aisiv turned his attention to Mercury, he kidnapped the
Princess. She escaped him and ended up in his Haven. She used her
power to heal him, but was recaptured.
      Aisiv tried to kill her, but Rihen saved her. Combining
powers, they liberated the planet. They also fell in love and had
a child. Named Larienn, she became Sailor Luces.*
     Now it seems as if Aisiv has returned.

     Rei frowned, "They are are most likely in this haven then?"
     Luna nodded, "You should be able to use Ami's Henshin wand to
find her."
     Rei nodded, "Mars Star Power, Make Up!"
     Makoto stood, "Jupiter Star Power, Make Up!"
     "Venus Star Power, Make Up!"
     "Moon Cosmic Power, Make Up!"
     They stood in a circle and Usagi spoke. She held Mercury's
wand. "Star Locket, take us to Sailor Mercury." Then they all
shouted, "SAILOR TELEPORT!"

     They all began to glow their colors, but then all fell to the
ground.
                                *
     Chibi-Usa sat in the small cage. She was in a bright room with
strange creatures in rooms all around her. She was about to try and
talk to them when she screamed in pain. It stopped suddenly moments
later.
     Aisiv grinned to himself. His precautions were working very
well. Now he had only two more annoying pests to pacify.
                                *
     "What happened?!" demanded Makoto.
     Mercury's Henshin wand lifted up and sparkling dust trailed
behind in a spiral as it moved. Soon a glowing silver column stood
in their midst. It faded, like Rihen's, to reveal a girl in Sailor
uniform that looked somewhere near their age. Her uniform was a
dark purple and white. The stone on her forehead was purple. On her
(guess what color) purple choker were two intertwined circles.
Mercury's wand was in her hand. Her hair was Ami's color, but it
was long and curly. She had wings like Rihen's. Her eyes were a
dark purple.
     She smiled, but her face was overshadowed with concern. "I am
Sailor Luces. I apologize that I had to force your teleport to
stop, but it was the only way to save Chibi-Moon." she stated
grimly.
     Usagi was furious. "What are you talking about?! We were just
going to save her!"
     Makoto and Rei looked willing enough to attack this new Senshi
to be on their way, but the girl stood firm. "I know, but you
mustn't go. Chibi-Moon's life depends on it."
     "Tell us why." Minako ordered harshly.
     Luces nodded. "I'm am the firstborn of the Queen of Mercury."
     "We know, get on with it." Jupiter said.
     But Luna had been listening avidly. "You said you are the
firstborn, who is the second?"
     Sailor Luces gave the answer hesitantly and softly. "Aisiv was
born two years after me."
     Luna looked shocked, "He was named after your mother's worst
enemy?"
     Luces nodded. "Aisiv was dying, but not defeated. He demanded
production right. That is, everyone who was ever on Luces has the
right to at least one child. Because he was dying he got to choose
the mother. He demanded that Mother bear his child. By Lucen law,
she could not refuse, but she could wait. She had me first so that
I would inherit, then gave birth to Aisiv's son. Because he is not
her or Father's natural son, he cannot rule."
     "What does this have to do with Chibi-Usa?" Rei asked.
     Luces pretended not to hear her. "He was locked away in his
own dimension, but he found a way to communicate with Father. He
demanded to see the child. On Luces, everyone has this right.
Aisiv, the adult, kidnapped my brother. He killed Mother and
Father. I called to them in this time period. That is why they were
remembering.
     Now you ask about Chibi-Moon. Only Sailor Moon has to stay
here. The rest of you can go."
     "What!" Usagi screeched. "I won't stay here!"
     "Let me explain," she said patiently. "Aisiv has sensors
everywhere. If he senses you are coming, Chibi-Moon is punished.
The closer you get, the more pain she feels and if you are present
on the planet, she will die.
     I can shield the rest of you, but Sailor Moon and Chibi-Moon
are too closely linked."
     "I can't stay and do nothing!" Usagi protested.
     "Of course not," Sailor Luces said. She put out her hand and
a tiny ball appeared. "It's a sage ball-"
     "Like Sabere's," a voice said. They all turned to see a girl
with long brown hair approaching them.
     Sailor Luces watched warily, but didn't know what to do.
     Makoto hugged the girl, "Feithe! You came just in time."
     Sailor Luces was puzzled by the next thing the girl did. She
knelt on one knee and crossed her arms across her chest. With her
eyes shut she whispered, "Tu sirviente te llama!"
     A yellow light gathered around Feithe. She transformed into
a Sailor. "I am Sailor Wirres, of Light. DEOS has shown me your
plight and I've been sent to help. Sailor Luces's explanation is
correct, but you are not understanding because she is not."
     "What?" Usagi asked, clearly baffled.
     Feithe smiled, "I am part of an InterUniversal Being, more
commonly known as an IUB. I have counterparts in hundreds of other
universes. We talk mind to mind and share talents. I have heard
about what is going on." She looked to Sailor Luces. "I grieve with
you, Larienn, and I wish to help. Unknowingly, you have traveled
transuniversally. In your universe, your parents were killed. Your
call to the Mercury and Guardian of Luces of this universe has put
them in superficial contact with their IUB. They are not receiving
their own memories, but the memories of their counterparts. Aisiv
is trying to bring Mercury of this universe into his universe. He
understands IUB's. He is using Chibi-usa to find Mercury and
Rihen."
     Feithe Thrine, otherwise known as Sailor Wirres, had moved
back to America with her parents a few months ago. They'd been
missionaries to Japan. She rarely appeared to help, unless it was
very important.  
     "Usagi-Chan, I wish I could give you better news. However, I
agree with Sailor Luces, you must stay here." Feithe said. "You
risk having either you or your daughter being stranded. I don't
think you want that."
     Luces gave the ball to Usagi. "You will be able to watch
through this. I don't know if you will be able to help, but trying
can't hurt."
     Feithe smiled at them, "I'm infiltrating Aisiv's fortress.
Sailor Luces, take the others to haven and make a plan with them.
I will keep you informed about his plans and try to rescue the
younglings." Then Feithe disappeared.
     Usagi sat down miserably and Luna leapt into her lap. Artemis
sat beside her. Moments later, the remaining Senshi, discluding
Moon, disappeared.
                                   *
     Feithe and the girl who looked exactly like her, spoke in
quiet tones. The girl agreed to let Feithe finish up her work
contract with Aisiv. She found some loopholes that gave her free
movement and several ways to quit his service early.
     She was assigned to the kitchen. The girl she'd switched with
had been quiet and timid. Feithe remained humble, but was more
outgoing. The other workers assumed she was coming out of her shell
and welcomed her into the intricate cliques of servant life. She
easily insinuated herself into several such groups and became the
center for gossip and any other information she could get.
     It was a week before Feithe managed to get assigned to feed
Chibi-Usa and Aisiv jr. She finally had to trade with a deaf young
man. She sent him out of universe as he requested and she was able
to get the assignment.  
     She entered the room with the tray. Feithe knew that some kind
of monitoring device was present so she had made a plan.

     Chibi-Usa saw the maid enter. She knew that this had to be one
of Feithe's counterparts. At least this one would be able to hear
her cries for help. She opened her mouth to speak, but everything
suddenly became blurry. She blinked, but it didn't change.
     The girl smiled and spoke. Her long brown hair hung down her
back in a fat braid and it waved as she moved. "Conejita," she said
using Feithe's pet name for her. It was in the Wirren language,
which was closely related to Earth spanish, and meant little
rabbit. 
     "Feithe!" the little girl exclaimed. Then she hushed and
looked around. Aisiv jr. woke and sat up in his cage. All the
animals looked at her.
     Feithe shook her head, "Don't worry. I have phased us just
enough so that what we do will not be noticed. I have come to help
you by trading places with my counterpart in this universe. The
Sailors are planning with Guardian Rihen to free Luces."
     Aisiv jr. perked up. "Father is back?" he asked. He had long
dark purple hair and he resembled Rihen. He had wings that were
light blue.
     Feithe rose her hand and both children appeared outside their
cages. "I'm sorry, but your father was killed Aisiv. Another has
come to help, but he is not your father. You will understand all
in time."
     She looked around the room at the animals. There were
creatures from many different universes. Feithe recognized several
from Szanth. There was a small smoker dragon, a baby roc (rocs were
big birds), and a very dark horse. The last one had to be a night
mare. They delivered the bad dreams to people. The rest were from
places Feithe recognized also and she sent them home. 
     She turned back to the children. "I have a mission to send you
on. We will need all the help we can get in the upcoming conflict.
I need you to link up with your other counterparts. Finding the
first will be very easy. You both are counterparts. I can send you
to the rest of the link to be joined."
     She teleported them to a wooded area. A pair of children stood
waiting. An identical pair stood next to them. The first pair
stepped forward. The girl spoke, "I am Dwindol Jerrikdau, twin to
Kimbol Jerrikdau."
     The second pair stepped forward. The boy spoke, "I am Kimbel
Jerrikdau, twin to Dwindel Jerrikdau. We would be honored to have
you join us."
                                   *
     As Feithe phased back in, the alarms blared. She was grabbed
by guards and hauled before Aisiv sr. "Where are the brats?" he
demanded.
     Feithe borrowed from Fairi, her Ehmin counterparts, and
shocked the guards so they had to release her. She smiled. "Nice
to see you too," she drawled. "How is Kronos? I heard that he took
a great fall."
     His glare became sharper, "You are of the Fay IUB, aren't
you?"
     "I am." she acknowledged. "You're a spin-off of the Vader IUB,
are you not?"
     He grinned, "Yes, he became part of the IUB when he was young.
Then he became evil. Somehow the rest of us did too. I can't say
that I mind." He leaned forward. "Where are they? I know I probably
can't hurt you, but I can certainly ask."
     Feithe nodded, "The animals are in their original habitats.
The 'brats' as you call them are in Wirres BETWIXT being joined to
their IUB, well out of your reach."
     "Why are you here?" he asked. "It's not because of me wanting
this planet, I'm sure."
     Feithe shrugged, "Why do you want the planet so badly?"
     He glared a moment and then answered, "This planet has the
capability of moving from universe to universe. It would be
invaluable to a conqueror such as myself."
     Feithe thought that over. "King Rihen must have discovered
this and that made you kill him and the Queen first."
     Aisiv nodded, "I always liked Mercury. When I find her
daughter, I'll treat her well. Now, why are you here?"
     "I am here to heal your IUB. All IUB's are under the
InterUniversal Council of Guardians. You've defied them and I am
here to stop you." Feithe said. Then she disappeared.

     Feithe appeared on Haven. "I have information." She told them
everything she'd learned. "And I am pleased to report that Conejita 
and Asi are free. At present, they are gathering more help."
     Mercury, Rihen, and Luces looked relieved that Aisiv jr. was
fine. Asi was the name used to distinguish him from his name-
father. "What do we do next?"
     Feithe smiled, "Mercury and Rihen are to join their IUBs.
Their two IUB's tend to intermarry so they are unofficially
considered one IUB. I'm sending you to Ruluth so you can be
joined." Mercury and Rihen disappeared. Feithe turned to the Senshi
and to Luces. "I have a plan. Most of Aisiv's IUB will be here to
defend him, but with three full IUBs we should easily break
through. You must deal with Aisiv himself on your own, I cannot
help with that."
                              *
     Chibi-Usa appeared with Asi and a girl that seemed to glow.
"I am T, but you can call me Tlian." she said shyly.
     A bright circle appeared and Mercury and another girl stepped
through. "I am the WaterDancer, you can call me Daeyen."
     Two bright discs landed on the floor, became columns of light,
and showed two males: Rihen and another with light blue hair. "I
am named Kalvin Smilec, but call me Myst." he said with a grin.
     The three new representatives of the IUBs sat. Myst spoke,
"The IUBs are ready when you are. The plan is sound and the IUCG
has given permission. Just send the word, the general IUB channel
is open for you."
     Feithe nodded, "Thank you, lets get ready."
     Mars stood, "But we can't transform, what good are we?"
     Feithe smiled, "I can transform you into what you are supposed
to be. This power doesn't come from me, but from DEOS." She raised
her hand and pure white light came from it.
     Mars was wearing a body suit that seemed to be made of flames.
Her hair gleamed brightly. She held a bow of fire.
     Jupiter seemed to be dressed in plants. Leaves, vines, and
flowers all came together in what seemed to fit her perfectly. She
held a large flower with sharp points coming from the center of it.
     Venus was clothed in a white light. You could barely look at
her. She held a large seed in her hand.
     Mercury was wearing a suit of water. It flowed continuously
around her, but her body did not show underneath. She held the Ice
Crystal.
     The lighted silhouette of a person appeared with a smaller
figure beside it. Two girls appeared. They wore suits of bright
crystal over their bodies. They were obviously Moon and Chibi-Moon.
Moon held a sword and Chibi-Moon held a dagger.
     Luces began to glow as well. She wore a suit of snow and ice.
She held a long wooden staff with wording on it. It said, "Ah DEOS
hibses kir va."
     Feithe focused on the battle ahead. "Now we pray.
          Dear Father DEOS, protect us as we do your will. You are
the almighty. In your name we fight. Amen."
                                 *
     As Feithe had said. Many people surrounded the walls of
Aisiv's fortress. Feithe teleported the Senshi inside, not
including Chibi-Moon. Rihen was inside as well. The three IUBs
teleported in.
     Shimae made an illusion to the people who were not yet under
attack to confuse them so that they could not help.
     The first along the wall was a Dark Kerrada. He seemed human,
but was evil and alien. The good IUB members from his universe made
a semicircle around him. Dwindol. Dwindel, Kimbol, Kimbel, Faethe,
Faune, Myst, and Shimae. Faethe recognized him as Rihn, the one who
had almost killed Faethe. 
     Using illusion Shimae made it seem as if only Faethe and Faune
were there. He attacked them but was burned by superheated steam
from where Myst had been. The two pairs of twins pushed him into
a portal that had appeared behind him.
     Further along was a very large creature called Apocalypse. He
was not in the IUB, but that hardly mattered at this point. The
first group of IUB members joined with Rogue, Jubilee, Iceman, and
Storm. While he was distracted he was teleported to Aisiv's home
universe.
     A shielded female was next. Fairi, Brooke, Share, and Cheshire
joined with the others. She was teleported away.
     The other enemies figured out what was happening and
retreated. All the IUB members set to taking the fortress apart.
                                  *
     Inside they found Aisiv in his throne room, but they could not
reach him. A creature froze the door shut. Mars walked into it and
unfroze it long enough for her friends to make it through. Then she
used a fire arrow against the creature. 
     The next creature threw fire, but Mercury froze him. The next
projected powerful negative emotions: hate and fear. Venus
countered it with a showering of her love light. The next creature
tried to touch them all. It's touch would mean death. Jupiter
nullified it with her touch of life.
     When they reached Aisiv he glared at them with pure hatred.
Only his hatred was left. In the light they could see that his body
was wasted and uncared for. In his hatred he tried to explode the
fortress, but the Moons stopped him. "DEOS's love will overcome
you." they said. And it did.
     DEOS seemed to join them. COME TO ME, BE MY CHILD. He seemed
to say.
     "Never!" Aisiv screamed.
     DEOS seemed grieved. THEN UNTO YOUR MASTER YOU WILL GO. Both
DEOS and Aisiv were gone.
                               *
     The Senshi went outside. The counterparts had left and the
fortress was in ruins. They gazed over the desert.
     Jupiter stepped forward and knelt. She held out the flower and
said, "DEOS gives the gift of life."
     Venus knelt beside her and lay the seed down. She said, "With
this seed it begins again.
     Mercury put up her hands, "From DEOS, the gift of rain."
     Mars lay her hand on a large bolder; it burst into flame. "May
the  everburning rock be the symbol of our hope."
     Then they transformed back to their normal selves and
disappeared.
                                *
     "Did it really happen?" Chibi-Usa asked Usagi (Moon).
     Usagi nodded, "I think so, it seems so unreal though."
                                *
     Feithe faced Sailor Luces. "You are Queen now, of both.Rule
well."
     She faced Asi. "Watch over her. No one is an island." Then
Feithe was gone.
                                *
     Ami and Ryan worked together on their project, content to be
together.
                                *
     Makoto watched as Feithe Thrine and her family returned to the
Mission.
                                *
     Is DEOS really out there? Rei asked herself. And she almost
felt as if she'd been answered.
