Fishermen claim it hides the human scent and allows the fish to take the hook never ever detecting man’s presence. Hunters say it masks human scent and prevents wild game from detecting their scent. Aniseed has been used as an antiseptic, diuretic, expectorant, and a stimulant. Do not use Aniseed late at night, unless you plan on being awake for a long period, because it is a great mental awakener. Some people say Aniseed is great for helping to stop vomiting and the pain of migraines. Other uses include indigestion, coughs, bronchitis, catarrh. Aniseed is used in smoking preparations, infant catarrh, colic, and to promote the flow of breastmilk. It is also said to be used to reduce pain and cramping during mensturation. Widely used in toothpaste preparations, lozens and mouth care products. Aniseed is used to cover foul tasting flavors in drugs. Aniseed is used in detergents, perfumes as well as a food flavoring. Aniseed is used in preparations to control lice and infectious skin disorders. It is said to be good for impotence and frigidity. Aniseed is a colorless pale yellow liquid with, spicy-sweet characteristic. It is antiseptic, antispasmodic, carminiative, diuretic, expectorant, glalctagogue, stimulant, stomachic.
