LOCATION: 20 miles west of Las Vegas, Nevada.

DIRECTIONS: Drive west on Charleston Blvd. and follow the signs.

VISITOR CENTER: Open 8:30am to 4:30pm daily, year-round. (702) 363-1921.

SCENIC LOOP: The 13 mile, one-way, paved road that circles the canyon is open 7am till dusk.

FEES: $5 per car or $20 for a yearly pass.

CAMPING: A new campground is available about a mile south of the park entrance.

FIRES: Ground fires and wood gathering are prohibited.

BEST TIME: October through May.

HIKES: Less than a mile to 15+ miles. All levels of difficulty.

ELEVATION: 3,394 feet to 7,092 feet.

BICYCLES: Only on the Rocky Gap Road and Scenic Loop.

HORSES: Yes - limited trails. Rentals available.

PICNICS: Picnic areas with cooking grills are available at several locations throughout the park.

GASOLINE: None available.

COLLECTING: No artifacts, fossils or plant materials me be collected within the park boundaries.
