Susie    the    Ghost    Pug    Dog

I want to tell you a story about me and my owner sluepy, who is writing these pages (with my help :-). She has changed some of the pages since my death. Anyways, I want to tell you how I became a Ghost Pug Dog. One day while sluepy was airing out our house becase she didn't like the smell of fried food cooking, she opened the doors and window for awhile. Well, I saw my chance to get out to the backyard and check things out there, you know just to make sure no one was in my territory and to sit, of course on my bench for awhile. Only, it was too hot, too hot for anything, so I decided to go to my cool spot in the yard. I became overheated very fast and couldn't breathe; sluepy didn't know I was outside so the doors and windows were shut. And well, you know the rest! Now I have crossed over into the Rainbow Bridge. I could see sluepy when she found me, she was devastated and oh sooo sad. hugging me and crying. I wanted to tell her everything was okay, but I was just a dog and sluepy had always done all the speaking. Anyway, I has a great idea, I would go to sluepy when she was still and alone, I would come to her in a flash of thoughts. I knew I could do that because I did it when I was alive. I would tell her everything would be okay and not to be sad because I was a Ghost Pug Dog with a MISSION and maybe if just one pet owner would read my pages and links and take them seriously I could save them the sorrow of having a lost pet. The importance of knowing your pets particular health needs. Things like nutrition and inherited diseases and the need for a safe living environment are all different for different breeds, just like people. If we had a doggy door installed, I might have came in the house before I was too hot, but sluepy only thought of that, she never put one in. She is sorry now, but it is too late. I tell her it is okay though, cause we will always be together; sluepy was well aware of my Pug conditions, she just didn't know I was outside. Us Pugs and some other breeds can not take heat or extreme cold. We have smashed noses and it hard to get air through them. So, what I am trying to say is don't take anything for granted when it comes to the health and well-being of your pet. Know your breeds particular health problems and living needs, most of all love and enjoy your pet, like me and sluepy always did. When you read this don't be sad, but become aware, be watchful and PLEASE check for other pets who might be left out without proper shelter or water. Remember, we can't speak, so you may have to speak for us. Talk with the pet owner or call your local Humane Society, it may be an inconvenience or you might feel like your snitching on someone, but REMEMBER ME and make that extra effort. There will always be accidents, but we can help to make them less. That's why we were adding informational links and will continue to ad them so you can gain the AWARENESS, KNOWLEDGE and RESPONSIBILITY it takes for all living things on this planet. PLEASE pass the word! Your Loving Ghost Pug Dog Friend, Susie.
