1998/99 Outlook




1998/99 Outlook: The 1998/99 season could be the one that will go down in history for Calvert High School. There are thirteen returning lettermen (five have been to states and four of them have placed). Eight of the varsity members are experienced seniors. It looks like this could be the strongest team ever and there are high hopes for winning their first SMAC regular season title and tournament title. There is also high hope for a third straight 3A/4A South Regional tournament championship and a repeat on the 3A/4A South Dual Meet Championship. Finally, there is a lot of confidence for improving on last years loss in the semi-finals of the State Dual Meet Championship and on the seventh place finish at the State Tournament.
