There may be hundreds of personal web sites dedicated to Icelandic singer, song writer, musician Björk. At one point in time I wanted to create an exhaustive Björk site with complete discography, tons of fascinating snippets of information about her, but I've realized that that is merely stating the obvious, and doesn't reflect on her work, what she has produced..and so I've opted instead to discuss her music primarily with visuals, concise text and information that investigate more of the whys and hows of her incredible genius as a modern composer. In spirit with her own "do-it-yourself" mentality, I look at her music very subjectively, find in it what resonates within myself. There are many who see the objective merits of her writing and singing, and the critics do that primarily as their job. I have the luxury to look at the songs in terms of how I relate to them, how they have inspired me. And in this, I hope to express how a modern artist can affect other artists through his or her distinctive methods, as Björk does for many.
