Morning Smile

You said don't think
I didn't
And your melted kisses
burned my inhibitions
weakened my knees
made me so dizzy
that I forgot to
give you my number
so you slept while
I guarded your dreams
and held you wrapped
around my body
Couldn't move
Didn't want our perfect
moment in time
to stop
and in the morning
with all the party
people running all over
the house
and she made me a cup of coffee
then she handed it
to me
when I looked up
I saw your eyes
in the morning light
crystals in your heart
shining out all the
love we could ever
have pictured in my
soul -so permanently-
your morning smile
