Momma(the smaller of the two) is a drop off cat. She was a kitten in this picture taken shortly after her arrival. This small fuzzy kitten didn't have a real name until she displayed just what she was like. As she grew older we noticed more kittens showing up and after watching we found out why. Momma wanted to be a momma. She was going out and finding kittens, bringing them home and somehow producing milk to nurse them. When a new pregnant cat would show up Momma would bond to them and be their constant companion, even to the point of helping nurse and raise them. She is one in a million.

Magic was more of a toss out..not drop off cat. My best friend lived on a busy highway and she called me one afternoon to tell me that some car had just went by and tossed something of their window at her mailbox. She saw 2 black objects bounce off her mailbox and then go darting under some bushes. I went over to her home and searched for what it could have been. What I found was 2 black kittens, approx. 8 weeks old. One had a huge hole in it's side from hitting corner of the mailbox. I quickly picked the frightend and wounded babies up, had their wounds treated and took them home. Magic and Tragic were the names they were given. They grew up with a special bond to each other. Tragic had crawled up into a visitors car engine one day and when the car owner started the car, he was horribly shredded by the fanbelt. He was yet again rushed to the vet where the put this cat back together. While he was off being saved, Magic stopped eating, wouldnt do anything but lay in their spot and meow pitifully. I talked to my vet and asked if on my next visit, if I could bring Magic to see Tragic. As soon as Magic was in the cage with Tragic they snuggled and after about 10 minutes, Magic was eating again. Tragic had no hair on his body and anywhere you touched he was stitched together. After a long recovery the two were allowed to be together for the rest of their lives. Oh, We renamed Tragic. He was called Lucky after he came home..LoL
