Chapter 4

The next morning Caitlin and Lynn were woken up by their phone ringing. Caitlin struggled to roll over to the table. She was so tired. Finally she found the phone.

"Hello?" She said while yawning.

"Good morning! How y'all doing this mornan'. This is your wake up call." A disguised voice said in a bad Texas accent.

"Who is this? NICK!" Caitlin said louder into the phone.

"Morning cupcake!" Nick said while laughing into the phone.

"Good morning." Caitlin said.

"Caitlin, you have to be down in the lobby in 45 minutes. Is that ok?" Nick asked.

Caitlin looked at the time. She had plenty of time to just shower and throw on her clothes. She was going for rehearsal; she wasn't going to get all dressed up.

"Alright! I'll see you in 45 minutes." Caitlin said.

Caitlin hopped in the shower, and then got dressed. She let Lynn in the shower after she was done. Caitlin threw on her black track pants. She put on a halter-top, and she laced up her Adidas sneakers. She put on a zip up sweatshirt, pulled her hair up and waited for Lynn. Lynn put on her cargo pants, and a strappy tank top. Both of them headed down to the lobby.

Caitlin was up on the stage, and all the guys sat with Lynn in the first row and watched her. Fatimah was right by Caitlin's side.

"One and two and three and four and slide, dip, turn and hold!" Fatimah instructed.

Caitlin did exactly as she was told. She worked on her dance until it was absolutely perfect. The lighting was set up correctly, and the back up dancers knew all the steps down cold. Caitlin jumped off the stage and sat down with the guys and Lynn.

"Hey! What were you so worried about? You looked great up there." Nick said.

"Thanks! I just don't want to ruin anything, you know?" Caitlin said.

"Well, Caitlin if you do that tomorrow night! Everyone is gonna go crazy." A.J. said.

"Yeah! A.J. is right. You look like a natural up there. You just have to relax and have fun with it." Kevin said.

Caitlin sat in the first row with Lynn and they watched as the guys rehearsed for tomorrow night. Lynn carefully watched Brian, and Caitlin found herself watching Nick.

I'd walk halfway around the world, for just one kiss from you Far beyond the call of love, the sun, the stars, the moon.

As long as your love's their to lead me I won't lose my way, believe me Even threw the darkest nights you know

I'll go anywhere for you Anywhere you ask me to I'll do anything for you Anything you want me to Your love as far as I can see Is all I'm ever gonna need Theirs one thing for sure I know is true Baby I'd go anywhere for you

Brian and Nick both sang in perfect harmony to one of Caitlin's favorite songs. Nick and Brian and all the guys looked so comfortable on stage. Just seeing them sing was a dream come true for her. When everything was finished, they all headed out for lunch. As the seven of them walked into Planet HollyWood they found themselves being stuck in between many giddy girls. None of them had actually realized who they were, yet!

"Excuse me? Do you have the time?" A young girl said.

Nick turned around. He was now face to face with the young girl. This however, was a bad idea.

"OH MY GAWD! NICK CARTER! LOOK, ALL OF THEM! ALL OF THE BACKSTREET BOYS ARE HERE!" She screamed.

Nick tried to quiet the girl down, but it didn't work. Caitlin and Lynn could never have prepared for what was going to happen next.

"GUYS! RUN!" Howie yelled.

Nick grabbed Caitlin's hand, practically knocking her over buy the force of his pull. Brian pulled Lynn. All seven of them ran down the streets of New York City. About forty girls chasing them. One of the young girls caught up. Nick and Caitlin were behind Brian and Lynn. The girl grabbed the hood of Caitlin's sweatshirt. She was jerked back. Her hand was being separated from Nick's firm grasp. The girl meant no harm to Caitlin, but Caitlin rolled on the cement. Her track pants were ripped, and she was being literally trampled by little girls.

"Guys! Caitlin, she is back their! Come on!" Nick yelled.

Kevin quickly flagged down a police officer that was standing in front of the Plaza hotel. Kevin told him their situation and he quickly called for back up. In about five minutes five more officers showed up, and they stopped the crowd of girls. Nick quickly made his way back to Caitlin who was slowly getting up from the ground.

"Caitlin? Oh man, are you ok?" He said.

Caitlin looked at Nick. She put on a fake smile, but her eyes showed pain. She slowly tried to stand up.

"Yeah I'm...ow! I'll be fine...OW!" Caitlin said.

Nick put his arm around her waste, and led her back to where the other guys were. They were being protected by the police. An officer recognized Nick as one of the boys being chased; he immediately let him and Caitlin through.

Lynn and Brian helped Nick take Caitlin back up to her room. She acted as if she was ok, but she had the kind of eyes that showed every emotion.

"Caitlin? You ok?" Lynn asked.

She quickly looked Caitlin over. Caitlin held in her pain, until Lynn ran her finger over Caitlin's knee cap, and her elbow.

"Ow..ow..ow..ow..ow..ow...OUCH!" Caitlin finally let out.

Brian and Nick both looked at her with concern. Nick sat down next to Caitlin on the bed.

"What hurts?" Brian asked sweetly.

"My elbow, and my knee." She said while whimpering.

Caitlin blew a piece of hair out of her eye. Brian ran into the bathroom, hoping the hotel would supply each bathroom with a first aid kid. They didn't.

"Lynn? They don't have first aid." Brian said.

"Go into my suit case, there is a make-up bag. I packed some first aid in there with me." Lynn said.

"Oh! A woman with a head on her shoulder's." Brian said while smiling.

Lynn smiled. She was lost in Brian's blue eyes, until she heard the whimpering from Caitlin once more.

"Is that all that is hurting? You don't need me to take you to the hospital, right?" Lynn asked.

Caitlin quickly shook her head no.

"I don't need to go to the hospital!" Caitlin said.

Brian came back with peroxide, cotton swabs, and gauze pads. He handed them all over to Lynn. Lynn lifted Caitlin'' track pant, and saw that her knee was scraped up. All the blood made Lynn feel woozy. "You ok Caitlin? You look pale!" Nick said.

Lynn took a deep breath.

"Guys! I went to school to become a doctor, but uh! I don't do too well with blood. That is probably why I am an assistant." She said. She began to laugh.

Brian and Nick both looked at Caitlin. Caitlin began laughing. She had known Lynn practically all her life. She had never known blood freaked her out. It scared Caitlin too, but Lynn was supposedly the "Medical Assistant"

"Brian and I can clean up the cuts! Why don't you go in the bathroom and splash some cold water on your face." Nick said sincerely.

Lynn did as she was told. Brian and Nick took their positions. Nick was towards the knee, and Brian was towards the elbow. Caitlin just sitting there, hoping Nick and Brian knew what they were doing. They both, at the same time, drenched their cotton balls in peroxide. Brian began to clean out the cut on her elbow.

"Woah! That is stinging!" Caitlin said.

"Sorry! I'm done." Brian said. He smiled at Caitlin. Then he went into the bathroom to get Lynn.

"Ok, I'm gonna clean up that cut on your knee." Nick said.

He gently cleaned out her cut. Caitlin held in her screams of pain. She didn't want Nick to think she was a baby.

"Their! All done." He said. Nick blew on her cut.

"Thanks Nick. I'm so sorry I slowed us down today. You could have been hurt." Caitlin said.

"I could have been, but I wasn't. You ended up being hurt! I'm the one who is sorry." Nick said.

Brian and Lynn came out of the bathroom hand in hand. Nick and Caitlin gave each other a quizical look. What was going on between Brian and Lynn?
