Engro Paktank Terminal Limited (EPTL)

EPTL is a joint venture between Engro Chemical Pakistan Ltd. & Royal Pakhoed N.V. Group of the Netherlands and is in the process of setting up a Bulk Liquid Chemical Terminal.

Responsibilities included :

· Opening & maintenance of company’s accounts (local and offshore) with selected banks.
· Liaison with financial institutions, Central Bank, and project’s sponsors on matters related to debt, equity and project development.
· Finalisation of loan agreements / term sheets with onshore and offshore lending agencies including IFC and CDC. Liaison with legal division on matters related to loan agreements.
· Preparation and regular update of company’s cash-flows.

Achievements :

· Developed a Lotus based accounting system for the company in association with the Accounts department.
· Arranged a USD10 million financing facility for the company through a foreign bank. Placed company’s funds amounting to approximately US$20 million (equity and loan) with onshore and offshore banks. Negotiated successfully with banks on interest rates.
· Obtained Central Bank’s approvals for retaining amounts of foreign currency equity and debt in US$ accounts with offshore banks and saved forex coverage fee for the company.
· Prepared and analyzed project’s cash-flows in close association with commercial, engineering and accounting departments.
· Opened Letters of Credit (L/Cs) for the company.

Achievements :

· Developed a corporate ad for company’s new Liquid Chemical Terminal project and got it printed in the major newspapers of the country.
· Developed a pre-startup marketing plan for company’s PVC project.
· Particpated in the development of Chemicals Marketing Plan.
