In the famous section of Ecclesiastes that begins 'Everything Has Its Season' there is a phrase,
"He has made everything beautiful in its time." (ch. 3 v. 11)...
In Koheles Raba the Sages comment on this verse, "The Torah should have been given to Adam.
G-d reconsidered and gave it to his descendents, because He appoints a time for everything He
does... as is meant by "Beautiful in its time." Time supplies appropriateness, relevence and necessity
for a matter.
