Meaning of Pesach

Pesach is for the purpose of reminding us to be thankful for what we have. The story of the going out of Egypt is told on this holiday. G-d clearly caused a miracle to happen, such that He was revealed. No one was able to escape Egypt, let alone an entire nation.

When we are young, our parents do a lot for us. When we get older and have the ability to appreciate what our parents did for us, we are ready to do anything for them in return. So too, G-d trains us by giving us a holiday to remember what he did for us in our youth as a nation, so that we may be inspired to serve G-d now.
