Religious Education and Sacrament preparation for all ages.
             Religious Education begins registration for the 2000 - 2001 school year has begun. Yellow registration forms were mailed to registered parishioners with their March newsletter. Forms are available in the reading racks in Herbert Hall and the Cafeteria of the School building. They are also available at the Parish Center in the reading rack outside of the Christian Formation Office.
Programs offered are

The fee schedule for all School Year and Home Education Programs is $25/1 person, $50/2 people, $65/3 or more people per family participating. Non-parishioners add $25/person. Non-parishioners must submit a written letter for their parish's MRE acknowledging his/her approval for the family to receive religious formation outside of their parish.

The fee schedule for Summer Loreto is $40 for one child, $80 for two children and $100 for three or more. Non-parishioners please add $25 per registrant. The cost for one week of Vacation Bible School is $20 for one child, $40 for two children and $50 for three or more. For two weeks (both VBS and Child care) the cost is the same as the Summer Loreto program.

If you are interested in being a catechist or aide, please let us know in the Office of Christian Formation by phone (272-2948 ext. 212 or 214) or e-mail. Other volunteer opportunities are available. If you are interested, let us know. The fee is waived and priority placement is given to volunteer ministers.

No parishioners will be denied faith formation due to inability to pay fees. Please call the office to have the fee waived. All records are kept confidential.

First Sacraments preparation (First Reconciliation and First Eucharist) begins in October of 3rd grade. Registration for the 2000 - 2001 group of candidates will begin in June, 2000. The Bishop requires that all candidates for sacraments participate in formation the year prior to preparation for sacraments.

Confirmation preparation involves 12 sessions, journal work and attendance at a retreat. Preparation sessions begin in September with a family interview and proceed through the school year through March. For a better look at our Confirmation preparation process, visit our Confirmation page.

Registration materials for Sacramental preparation will be mailed to eligible families in August, 2000. If you do not receive the materials, please call the office at 272-2948 ext. 212 or 214. Sacrament Registration/Fees are separate from Religious Education Registration/Fees.
