Here are a few pics. of the same car

The first picture is the second year I raced in this division. It had a 1700cc. performance motor with daul carbs and all the suspention and motor components had to be from an air cooled VW. Second we have pretty much the same accept, the motor got way faster. bumped it up to an 1800cc. I installed ratio rockers with a total lift of .534. Ported and polished heads, dry sump, MSD box. Just imagine all this in a car that only weighs about 1600 lbs.. The last few pics. are of the same car.I bumped it up again (to legal limit) 1904cc. The track wanted the cars to have more style, so this is what I came up with(under the rules of course). Total horsepower was estimated at 175 to 195. Thats alot of ponies for a little car like this. I was known as (the cheater). Only those were the guys that would pull there car under the maple tree till the following week. I'm sorry I can't say that, they ALL were saying I was a cheater. The reason (I THINK) my competetors did'nt put alot of money in there cars, might be because we only got paid $75.00 for winning. But that did'nt bother myself because I wanted to go as fast as that VW would carry me. Please sign my guest book on the last page. And thanks again for visiting.
