All members of the Kindred Spirits list are welcome to join, as well as those who share similar interests. However, please read our guidelines before joining:
1. It's simple to join, just send your email address along with a couple lines about yourself or what you are looking for in a pen pal. This information will be added to the KC list as soon as possible and will be available to everyone on the internet. From the list, you can choose pen pals and correspond by email until you get to know each other a little. Then, if desired, you can exchange snail mail addresses and write the old-fashinoned way.
2. If you decide you have enough pen pals, or your email address changes or if for some other reason you would like your name removed from the list, just write and let us know and we'll take care of it as soon as we can.
3. There are many wonderful, honest people on the web, but there are others who are dishonest, so we ask you to be on your guard. To protect yourself, you may wish to receive mail at your place of work, or at a post office box, or you may simply want to correspond only by email.
4. If any pen pal should request that you do not write anymore, please respect his/her wishes without any questions. We respect the privacy of every Kindred and hope that you will too.
5. If any correspondent should make you feel uncomfortable or ask too many personal questions, feel free to stop writing to that person. However, we ask that you let us know if there are any cases of harressment. Hopefully, we won't have a problem with this, but we want to be prepared just in case.
6. We can not be responsible for any of the people named on our list, although we reserve the right to remove names as desired. If possible, we would love to help you with email and snail mail problems, so please, keep in touch.
7. Most Importantly!!! Write because you like hearing from other kindreds and meeting other great people. We wish you many happy hours of reading and writing letters. Good luck!
