The pipes subside
down the glenn she smiles
hair gold and slippery elm
cloud drift wood sky
his brooch will shine
the rock and the castle
the sun and the moon
the heroes and villains

Moon Child

Her hair is fine
her hair is gold
she has me in
her moon child hold

She dives and smiles
she swims and laughs
she has me in
her moon child grasp

Moon child she hears me
moon child she holds me here
down the horizon she sits
then she’s gone

STILL SHE SLEEPS

In the night strange arms surround you
pick you up so delicately hold you
through open window so much to show you
don’t be afraid no harm is done you

In the next room she is sleeping
I hear her breath her heart is beating
these ticks of time they are so fleeting
I see her eyes how they are beaming

Beyond the ripple comes the hour
rising up fast like gold sunflower
touch shadows under foot like soft carpets past
feel warm shallow pools beside my hearts last
desire

Still she sleeps
