ONLINE VERSION PAGE 7
ANNE CLOUTIER RN,
MSN, AOCN
"There were two reasons I became A
Nurse. 1) My Dad died of Lung Cancer
when I was in High School. 2) My
aptitude test said I was good in Science."
Of course, Anne couldn't do it the easy
way. She had a double major in Nursing
and Psychology, graduating in 1977.
She has spent the last 18 years in
Oncology--starting with the challenge of
Hospice. She then went on to become a
CNS in her home state of Rhode Island
and worked at Beth Israel Hospital in
Medical Oncology (with a stint in
Psychosocial Oncology).
She moved to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida in
1990 to be a Director of a Hospital
Cancer Program.
In 1993 she came to Tampa to work at
Moffitt Cancer Center as a CNS.
Currently, she is working as a Patient
Care Consultant for Schering Oncology
Biotech--"And I just love my job! Very
few people can say that."
Anne has been inducted into Sigma Theta
Tau, has been a member of ONS since
1980, became an OCN in 1990, and an
AOCN in 1996.
She is also a member of National ONS's
Continuing Education Review Panel.
She has started working on a PHD in
Adult Education at USF.
If Anne hadn't become a Nurse; she
would have liked to have been an Editor
or a Psychologist.
Anne is married to Paul Cloutier, has no
children, but has 2 cats. She enjoys golf,
traveling, and spending time with her
husband.
When asked what she found most
rewarding about Nursing--Anne said:
"Having an impact on situations
challenging to people. Making a
difference".

Thanks to Anne Cloutier for dedicating
great talent and energy to providing
leadership for the Greater Tampa Bay
Oncology Nursing Society in the 1995-96
year.
Under her direction we had some
outstanding events such as our 10th
Anniversary cruise, a memorable goal
planning evening, and a strong, objective,
creative point of view about problems
and opportunities.
Thanks Anne
