BEWARE, THE INDIANS
ARE COMING
by JOSHUA CRAMER

1

One morning it was very hot. Hot like the Indian days when the Indians ruled North America. Ben, Keven, Max, and Sam were teenagers. They were orphans. Their last names were Henry. Their Teacher's name was Mrs. Henry. Ben, Keven, and Sam didn't like the hot days. Max liked Indians and hot weather. Max had little toy Indians and teepees he also had a fake wooden teepee made of cement inside in the back yard with Indians around it. The orphan house looked like a giant future teepee. Ben, Keven, and Sam always wished it would snow but it would never snow in Indianville. Indianville is at the bottom of Florida in the Everglades. They all live there in Indianville. It's just in the yard of the orphan house. The orphan house is very small. It only fits six kids and a lady to watch the kids. The orphan house is on stits in the Florida bay. When Max was playing in his wood teepee all of a sudden the teepee transported Max in the past when the Indians used to rule North America.

2

The teepee doors closed and then opened Max was in another land and didn't know what to do a fake wooden teepee couldn't do anything. So Max started walking to try to get some help there. So Max went closer to the big teepee. Then Max saw a head stick out from the teepee. So Max went to the teepee and never knew that the horror was just beginning.

3

Max peaked in the teepee and it was big. As big as the orphan teepee. It was some kind of magic doing it. The wall was made of stone and on the stone it said Beware, the Indians are coming so get out. Then Max faced the door that goes out of the little room. On the door it said HOME OF THE INDIANS.

4

Max thought it was just a joke; but it wasn't. Max saw some Indian things. Max also saw pieces of rock that had things written on it. The rocky calendar said, July 3rd 1353 Then Max saw a shadow coming from the front door. Max knew that he was now longer alone.

5

"May I help you?" the man said in a deep voice. "Yes," Max said. "What year is it and where am I?" Then the man said without looking at the calendar, "JULY 3RD 1353 and you are in NORTH FLORIDA". Max asked the man, "Are you an Indian?" "Yes, I'm an Indian, Max," he said. "I'm the Chief Indian".

6

"I'm from 1953", Max answered. Then the Chef laughed and said, "liar liar". When he stopped laughing he said, "lets roast you over the fire!" Max said, "good bye", and ran out the back door. But when Max went out he saw a circle of Indians. The Indians said. "stop right there. We're going to roast you over the fire". Then someone hit Max on the head with a hammer. The next thing Max knew he was tied to a stick over a pot and the Indians said, "lets cook the boy".

7

Boom boom boom boom boomboom boom! The Indians tapped on the drums. Max tried to get free but he couldn't. But then a rope broke. Max was free. The Indians said, "get back here," as Max ran into the deep woods and didn't stop running until he fell in a trap full of Lions.

8

The lions were asleep. Max carefully walked around the sleeping lions. On the other side of the lions there were some arrows sticking out of them. That means they were really dead. Then Max heard a noise coming from the top of the ground. It took a wile for Max to find out that the Indians were there outside the trap.

9

The chief Indian was there in front of all the Indians and he said, "come here". Max ignored him and climbed up the other side of the trap; but before he could get there he spotted something on the wall. It seemed like a mile away. But it was only 10 feet away. Max went up closer to it till he was about one foot away. It said in the stone do you know that the indians are COMING?

10

Max couldn't believe it and when he looked back all of the Indians were standing at the bottom of the trap. So Max climbed the rest of the way up and ran though the woods. At the end of the trail Max was on he slipped down a cliff. Max didn't know that he was falling down a 3000 mile tall cliff and the ocean was at the bottom.

11

Max kept falling and falling till he landed on a trampoline boat. The trampoline boat was floating in the ocean water and there was a window facing the side of the mountain. Then all of a sudden a giant door opened on the mountain and the boat got sucked in. There were all the Indians on little rocks. The Indians said, "never run off like that Max. Now come home with us".

12

The Indians pulled Max upstairs and past the dead lion trap and down the ladder and back to the village. The whole forest was Everglades. When the Indians got back to the village; everyone sat down in front of the chief's teepee. Max sat at the end of the line of Indians. The chief announced, "The kid is ours". When the chief was talking it gave Max time to escape the Indians. So Max started to crawl away from the Indians. Max kept crawling until he saw the very same wooden teepee that was in his back yard. Max went into the teepee. Inside it said in the stone on the back wall: INDIAN MAXE'S 1353 TEEPEE.

13

Max didn't believe it. Max went inside the teepee wondering if it would take him back to the future. But to Maxes surprise it moved him around in circles. Before Max could say "one", the teepee stopped. There was a control panel up too high for Max to reach. The door on the teepee opened and it was outer space. But Max found out that he was at the entrance of where you go in and out on the moon under a big glass roof. And Max was on the Moon with the Moon Indians.

14

Max tried to reach the control panel but he couldn't. So Max went out and saw a sign that said: MOON INDIANS. Max didn't know how to escape the Moon Indians. Then all of a sudden Max was on a teleporter and the Indians were there too and Max teleported. Then Max appeared in his wooden teepee and the doors opened. To Max's surprise he was in his back yard with a whole bunch of Indians.

15

In a minute Max found out that they were his statue Indians. It was night time. Max went into the orphan house. Max looked all around and didn't find anybody. Then Max heard a noise from outside. It was coming closer. That's when the front door opened and there stood the chief Indian.

16

The chief said, "Hello, I want to talk to you". So Max went over to him. The chief said, "Why are you afraid of me? Don't you know me?" "Who are you?" Max asked. "I'm your uncle. Max, I've been waiting for you for a long time". "Then why did you want to roast me over the fire?" Max said. Then the chief said, "Because I did not notice you at first. But now I want you to come with me so we can go back into the past and say hi to all your Indian relatives."

17

"But I don't want to go back in the past," Max said. "I want to know were my friends and teacher are." "They're OK back in the past growing up. You must go back to the past and at the teepee you must grow up too. If you don't grow up before midnight you will have to die in one hour because its 11:00PM."

18

So Max went with the chief and went back into the past. When Max got to the teepee Max didn't believe it. The teepee looked the same. The same as the orphan home. It had red paint like the orphan home. It was the orphan home only in the past. Only 30 minutes left.

19

Then the chief said, "See, your friends are here to grow up with you. Now everyone cooperate and let's get this over with." Everyone was nervous about what the Indians will really do to them. Finally the chief took Ben, Keven, Max, and Sam into the teepee. The chief said, "It will take about two minutes to grow up. These helmets will grow you up," said the chief, because if you're not grown up and back to the future by midnight you will be trapped on Indian island forever." Then Ben asked, "What is Indian island?" "Indian island is where all the Indians are," the chief answered. There are two sides. On one side the Indians are the meanest Indians in the world. On the other side are the nicest Indians in the world. In the middle there's a big tall brick wall to keep the nice Indians and the mean Indians separated." "And sometimes if you don't make it at midnight on New Years Eve you will transport there. And some times you will end up on the nice side and some times you will end up on the mean side." After the chief told them about Indian island he said, "Put the helmets on and grow up. And remember, only two minutes too grow up." Then Max looked at his watch and it said 11: 59 PM. Then the chief told the kids the truth: that they were Indians!

20

Then the chief turned the machine up to HYPER SPEED ONLY and the kids grew up to be adults. Then the chief turned off the machine. The kids were all adults, and there stood their orphan Teacher, Mrs. Henry. She said, "Good to be adults." Then the chief said, "Max, Henry, and everyone else, you may call me Uncle Henry."

21

Uncle Henry said, "Go back to the future immediately before you go to Indian island." So Ben, Keven, Max, and Sam ran out the door and through the whole Indian neighborhood and out the gate. Only 10 seconds to go. Ben, Keven, Max, and Sam went though the forest and into the time machine. They pushed the secret code and the time machine transported them back to their yard. Only it wasn't their yard at all. Ben, Keven, Max, and Sam were really Indians all along. They were on Indian island! Max's watch said 12: 01. They were too late. They were on Indian island-- only on the mean side of the island. Then Max noticed that he was aware that the Indians were coming. They were only ten feet away! Then Ben, Keven, Sam, and Max knew that they were trapped on the mean side of Indian island forever.
