Catholic Church of Saint Paul the Apostle

Every Sunday, we should remember Jesus's admonition to Go forth and teach all Nations and Baptize them.

We have been a parish and faith family since 1868. We have gather on Sundays on this hill and have grown in faith and love...first in a wooden Church house under Father James O'Kean with early immigrants down to these times with many, new young folks and families.

We welcome all new members and friends who want to know us or need God or fellowship. This is our purpose, to bring the good news of Jesus to you, each other, and our community.

Since 1887, the Benedictine Sisters have been wonderful and faithful teachers, serving our family in one of the state's oldest Catholic Schools.

We are proud of our Catholic faith in Jesus as the way, truth, and life. We give thanks to God, our Father, for His blessings on us as we have lived and professed the faith over the decades. We give thanks for this wonderful community of Pocahontas and Randolph County with its strong families, Churches, businesses and community groups. Welcome!!!

Yours,

St. Paul's Catholic Church,

"Have you been away

from home awhile?"

Have you been thinking about coming back to Church on Sunday? Have you or someone you know been away form Church a period of time, maybe even a long time? You may be Catholic or its been so long that you hardly remember the Church you were in...that's all right! There are many others with you.

YOU are the most important. Maybe you've even been thinking a little about doing something. Doing what you ask? Maybe just giving or putting more time for God in your life or the lives of your children, or making some moral changes and finding peace. It is not hard. Just come on Sunday or attend our Inquiry Classes. You can also call Father Jacobs or ask a Catholic friend to call you. Now is a good time do something!!!

TO YOU, WE ISSUE A SPECIAL INVITATION..

Much has happened in our Church in recent years. There is a new surge of fellowship and understanding in our community. To make our family complete, we need and want you with us. We think you may be pleasantly surprised.
