AND NOW, A WORD FROM YOUR INSTRUCTOR...

Where would we students be without our instructors, and where would they be without us? (Sometimes my insights scare me).

I started this page in response to an instructor who e-mailed me with a suggestion for an instructors' section. So here we go. To all of you to whom we turn for guidance, we'd appreciate your input!

Professor Patricia M. Dillon
Associate Professor
LaGuardia Community College
31-10 Thomson Avenue
Long Island City, NY 11101

Hi, my name is Patricia M. Dillon and I am a faculty member of the nursing program at Fiorello LaGuardia Community College. I also specialize in Parent-Child Nursing (Maternity and Pediatrics). I've been an RN for 22 years with 13 years of teaching experience in baccalaureate and associate degree programs. Along with teaching, and coordinating the Parent-Child Course at LaGuardia, I have been proud to be the Chairperson for NYSNA Parent-Child Health Nursing Clinical Practice Unit for the past 4 years, and Vice Chair for the 4 years prior to that. I did my initial training for my nursing career at Herbert H. Lehman College, CUNY and my postgraduate studies at New York University. I am fully aware and will never forget the intensity of my nursing program, which enables me to be more supportive and understanding to the plight of the nursing student. I also work at LaGuardia on transfer articulation agreements with baccalaureate programs. I would be more than willing to answer any questions that any students may have in the area of Parent-Child Nursing, NYSNA issues or transfer articulation. Oh yes, I almost forgot, I also teach functional pathology as well. I can be reached at ProfPat@aol.com or PDILLON@lagcc.cuny.edu.
