Here is a soybean harvest picture taken in the 50's. The man in the background is my grandfather, Leo Twaddle. The other man, I believe, was a hired hand. Note the size of the hopper on which my grandfather is leaning. It probably held a whopping 30 bushels!! If I'm not mistaken, I believe my grandfather was one of the first farmers to raise soybeans in McDonough County, Illinois.
