My Religion

Born in a brahim family, my religion follows the vaishanvite philosophy. The major sects in the vaishnavites are shisyas of the Ahobila Math and Shrimad Andavan.
For those interested there is an electronic forum for discussing philosopy of Visistadvaita Vedanta. The forum is a private mailing list and is meant for serious discussions on vaishanavite philosophy.

The Local Shrine

The shift of my residence to Perungalathur, a suburb near Madras has introduced me to a new life. There is a temple, built and maintained by the local residents, of course with the help of a number of devotees all around under the banner of "Sri Vedantha Desika Dharshana Sabha". Initially the temple had in its premises Shri Srinivasa Perumal Sannidhi besides a Sannadhi for Anjaneyar as well as Sri Vedantha Desikan.

Later with the grace and guidance of the Lord his devotees added to the temple Sannidhis of Sri Padmavathi Thayar, Sri Andal, Sri Nrushimar and Sri Sudharshana Alwar.
