Caluya all set for Tatusan Festival

by Cheerry Ann Onanad

SAN JOSE, Antique -- Setting aside the controversial issue on the garbage dumping on the Semirara Island, in Caluya, the Caluyanons are now bracing up for the forthcoming Tatusan Festival.

First week of April is the slated schedule for the Tatusan Festival. It is expected to be another venue for the political campaign.

Lined up activities are the sports competition, The Search for Ms. Sangguniang Kabataan (SK), headed by its chairman Henry Frangue, and various inagurations of projects initiated by the Local Government Units (LGUs), and the much coveted Search for Ms. Tatusan Festival.

Said affair is considered as another festival of its kind. Media practitioners who supported the residents opposing the proposed dumping of garbages from Manila a couple of months ago are expected to grace the occasion.
