Saccavibha"nga Majjhima Uparipa.n.naasa, Vibha"nga Vagga MN.141 M.iii.248-52 23/381 Four Noble Truths The Buddha tells the monks how he had first preached the Four Noble Truths at the same location. He exhorts them to follow Sariputta and Moggallana and then retires to His cell. Sariputta takes up the discourse and gives a detailed explanation of the Truths.
