"Who is this that appears like the dawn,
fair as the moon, bright as the sun,
majestic as the stars in procession?"
The Song of Songs 6:10

LOOK OUT

I see him on the horizon!
Silhouetted against the sun,
Standing on the sea, straight ahead
The bright goal to which I’ve been led.

I knew this river would bring me
To him.  But him I could not see,
‘Til now.  My eyes see him today,
How can I take my eyes away?

He is too beautiful a sight;
His presence is my soul’s delight!
He is a man of priceless worth,
And the most precious thing on earth.

This journey is almost complete,
Soon my beloved I will greet.
His name to call, his hand to touch,
Saying "my heart is yours," and such.

Does my darling know I am near?
In his eyesight do I appear?
Has he looked far as he can see?
Has he kept a lookout for me?
