Chatropolis Dungeon Protocol

The Dungeon at Chatropolis is a unique community for those interested in Bondage, Domination/submission, Sadism, and Masochism. There are many "regulars"; those that chat almost exclusively in this Dungeon, and feel a strong sense of community and family with other regulars. New people are always welcome, but sometimes feel uncomfortable while trying to adjust to the new surroundings. I have developed this page to aid those with questions, and if you have any questions not addressed here, please feel free to talk with any of the regulars in the Dungeon. Most are very willing to help you feel welcome, and will help whenever possible.

For those of you familiar with the lifestyle, or with other chats of this nature, I would welcome your suggestions to help inform those new to the "D"....Please, keep in mind that I'm not an expert, just someone willing to take the time and effort necessary to help others with concerns about the Chatropolis Dungeon.

Honor & Respect

First and foremost, respect is a priority. Not just for individuals, but for the Dom/sub relationship, privacy, and public scenes - whether they are sexual, romantic, or even disciplinary. Good Dom/mes set an example for the subs, good subs do all they can to honor and respect the Dom/mes.

Not all subs know what is expected of them. Not all Dom/mes expect the same things from a sub. Keep in mind that, although this is a cyber or virtual forum, many of the Dom/mes are real-time Masters and Mistresses. By the same token, not all Dom/mes have any real-time experience, and are there to learn just like many subs. Some subs do have real-time experience, and can be valuable sources of information.

Subs often think of themselves as brothers and sisters, and so do Masters and Mistresses. A sub should never address a Dom/me with such familiarity, unless they have a unique relationship.

The key to successful integration into the "D" is Honor and Respect. Honor each other's presence, privacy and wishes, and Respect each other's rights to personal opinions and sexual desires.
