Living in Southern Ontario has been a gift...the trees, the bodies of water, the simple beauties, a terrific thing to see daily. Just the area to live in, for fishing, camping, golfing, dancing, all the things that I enjoy.
During my short life (all 52 years of it) I've seen an enormous change in technology....the ability to now sit in my home and chat to the world and sort of know what I'm doing *lol*!!! Since childhood, I have always dreamed of being able to visit and learn about the peoples and Nations of the world.
I have wanted to learn of the peoples, know how they live, what do they do, what is custom for them ... all those silly questions that I've never had the answers to. THEN BINGO!! the Internet... just the place where I can fulfill my dreams WOW!!
I was Registered with the Ontario Government as a Registered Practical Nurse, but due to an injury at work, I let my "Registry" status lapse, since nursing is no longer a possibility, with a bad back. NOW, I have started up my own little business, doing acrylic nails (NO TIPS), manicures, pedicures, body wraps, tinting,
Waxing, and parafin wax treatments. My husband is NOW "just" in business with me doing reflexology, and will soon be getting into making ortodics. We are look forward to working together...something we've never done before. *S*
I've been online now for just about four-five years, and have met many NET friends. A couple of summers back, a group of us got together at a place called Bissell's Hideaway, and we camped for a number of days, having fun, enjoying each others company R.T.!! We are HOPING to make this a regular summer event, and hopefully each year others will attend.
After chatting with folks, probably more than I talk to my husband *lol* it is really great to meet them in R.T. and get to know how they smile and laugh. *lol*
I have a small family, my husband Flash, "the man of my life", 2 daughters, CountryGirl, and SugarPie, as well as 4 grandchildren, *Nana Satin!! my God, when did that happen, I'm sure I'm still only 19!!! with 33 yrs. experience* I have what I think is, a well rounded family.
My hubby, "Flash", is a talented man, with a wonderful sense of humour. He has been in the footwear industry for the past 30 some yrs., managing a number of large family footwear stores, and is now at Becker Shoe. Local Doctors, and Physio Therapists work hand and hand with him, utilizing his knowledge of the foot, where he deals with foot maladies, by providing needed appliances for proper foot care. Flash acheives great sasifaction knowing he has helped someone and enjoys watching the smiles return to faces that haven't had comfort for years.
Now, with the reflexology and working together,(although is only part time for now) our future looks brighter than ever.
On the "Spritual side", of things, we are both members of the Baha'i Faith. My husband for 15 yrs. myself for 28. Knowing, that we all find our path to God, I truly hope that in the process, we might all be kind, loving, thoughtful and gentle with each other, sharing our individual understandings of the paths we indepentantly walk.
