Lousiana Laffite Society

Just returned recently from a trip to "The Big Easy"...aka New Orleans.Just to get away and relax. While I was there I met one Rene Laizer of "The Lousiana Laffite Society". The Lousiana Lafitte Society was founded in 1997 by Rene,in a effort to preserve the history of Jean Lafitte and his Baratarians who helped save N.O in the War of 1812. Since the founding,Rene and the other members have embarked on a campaign of historical reenactments,school programs,and pirate raids. Some of their regular events include the "Anniversary of The Battle of N.O.,and colonial events at Fort Gaines,Alabama." Rene and the members have taken great efforts to preserve part of "our" American culture and history! Well to make a long story shorter...we have come up with an idea to raise money for "The Laffite Society"...When I have the details worked out I'll be posting them here! check back soon!!!
