Sweet Electric Child I downloaded this song from John's page ages ago and finally decided to tab it. Unfortunatly, since it was downloaded, it isn't very sharp, so it is hard to hear some chords due to the large amount of bass. So until I get my hands on a better copy, I didn't tab the solo, since in the version I have, you can't hear the solo very well. But I did tab the rest out, so if you have a copy of the song, you can now play along (that wasn't meant to rhyme) Intro: The intro riff continues throughout a good part of the song...listen for when it appears...I warn you now, this riff is pretty addictive...I've been playing it all day. E---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- B-----2----------2-------2-----------2-------2----------2--------2------------2-- repeat G--2----2--0--2----0--2-----0--0--2----2--2----2--0--2-----0--2-----0--0--2----- throughout There are a few main chords to the song...I don't know what a few of them are, so I used different letters to label them, if you know what the names are, you can e-mail me and I will change them and credit you. E: 5 7 7 5 5 5 D: 3 5 5 3 3 3 X: 5 5 7 7 5 5 Y: 7 7 9 9 7 7 Z: 4 4 6 6 4 4 The pattern to the chords goes as so: E E D X X E E E D X X Y Z Repeat intro riff where nescessary. Chorus: The chorus part uses basically the same chords as the verse, but the timing of the change is pretty interesting. I am not sure as to what the words are to the song, but listen to the song for the changes. The chord pattern is as follows: E D E X For the solo part (with the harmonica) play a E chord. Solo: The solo part for guitar comes in after awhile. It is basically the same riff played 4 times. The riff is played something like so (I am using a downloaded version which is very bassy): G-9-9-7--7----------------- D-----------7-5-7-5-5-5-3- the 4th time play D-9--- A----------------------------- As for the rest of the song, repeat the chord patterns where they fall and the intro riffs. When I get a better copy of the song, I will update the tab. Tabbed by Johnnie K.
