This Shrieking Love (acoustic version from the single 'Push', part 2) By Moist (lyrics by Kevin Young, in case you didn't know!) tabbed by: Andrea Knoblauch (Johnnie K) Normally I would tab out the album version of these tracks, but because of the way it is mixed, the keyboards are the dominant sound in the song, so it is difficult to hear the guitar lines. So instead of skipping the song, I decided to tab out the acoustic version from the second part of the 'Push' single, which makes it a little easier to hear certain parts of the song. Enjoy! Intro: The main piano riff played here, I managed to figure out the piano part, perhaps one day I will come up with a system to tab out piano riffs for the Keyboardists out there. But under the piano, you can faintly hear a guitar riff, I am not too sure about this, but it sounds Ok with the song. E----------------------------------------- B---------------------------------------- G---------------------------------------- D-----------2--2--4--4--2-------------- (note: play the last four notes pretty quickly, they are meant to A-2--2--4------------------4--2-------- be) E----------------------------------------- Play this riff until the chorus, the chorus part is made up of 3 chords. E: 0 2 2 1 0 0 D: 0 0 0 2 3 2 G: 3 2 0 0 0 2 Listen to the song to hear the strumming pattern, it is really quite interesting. E D This Shrieking Love E Comes Crashing down D This Shrieking Love Is Not The One You Thought You Found E D G Oh, It's only in the blood Repeat this all again, then the next chorus goes like so: E D This Shrieking Love E Comes Crashing Down E D This Shrieking Love is not the one you thought you found E D G oh, it's only in the blood G D G Oh, Oh, Oh, Oh, Oh, it's only in the blood. Then there is another Keyboard bit, and under it is the guitar riff that continues for a bit. We'll call it Riff 1. the symbol for slide is / . E----------------------------------------- B----------------------------------------- G----------------------------------------- D-0-/-2-2-2-2-2-2-0-0----------------- A----------------------------------------- E----------------------------------------- Repeat this four times. BONUS: I decided to tab out the bass part since there wasn't a real solo. Later on when I get a bass, I will try to put out some more bass music. BASS PART: G------------------------------------------------------ D------------------------------------------------------ A------5-0-3--3--5-3---------5--0--3--3----------- E-0-0-------------------0--0------------------------- This continues for a bit, the guitar pays a few obscure notes here and there. The Guitar comes back at the part that goes "Give a little bit more than this". You can hear where this fits in, it just is played under a few words, mainly the word 'Give'. G--7-/-9-- This riff is played over and over until the next part. It is written odd (my fault) with one high chord, under the word 'Oh'. before the part where Dave sings 'It's only in the blood' I'll take it, take it, take it, Oh... E------------------------------10--------------- B------------------------------10--------------- G------------------------------10--------------- D------------------------------12--------------- A------------------------------12--------------- E------------------------------10--------------- New chord! A: 0 0 2 2 2 0 G It's only in the blood A D G Oh, Oh, Oh, Oh, Oh, it's only in the blood A D G Oh, it's only in the blood A D G Yeah, it's only in the blood.
