It's a lot to print, but it's definitely worth it.
I read that Mark Tremonti uses a Les Paul Standard 
plugged straight into a Mesa/Boogie Dual Rectifier.
The beginning sounds like it has chorus, so that was
probably added at the board. 

Dropped D tuning (DADGBE)
m - palm mute
b - bend
p - pulloff
/ - slide

INTRO - go from the last 3 notes right back to the 
open D string at the beginning of the riff immediately 
at the same tempo to get the right sound - IMPORTANT!
