WHAT I THINK HAPPENED TO AMERICA THAT MADE EVERYTHING GO CRAZY:

My fathers generation which was born in the 1920s and is called the "Greatest Generation" by the liberal media (because they fought Fascists) lived through the WORST DEPRESSION in history followed by the WORST WAR in history! The period when they were growing up, 1929 until 1945, was an almost non-stop horror.

First they starved and froze for ten years and then they got shot at!

When the nightmare FINALLY ended in 1945 they said, "MY KIDS WILL NEVER HAVE TO GO THROUGH WHAT I WENT THROUGH!!! MY KIDS WILL GROW UP IN THE OPPOSITE WAY THAN I DID"

This was the STUPIDEST decision they ever made!!!

So starting in 1945 the parents of the BABY BOOMER generation was given everything MATERIAL that their parents could afford. Their kids never wanted for anything necessary and usually not for anything not necessary.

But what the older generation didnt realize that it was what they went through in 1929-1945 made them what they were. And by bringing their kids up OPPOSITE of the way the parents did the kids grew up the opposite of the parents.

The baby boomer generation officially began in 1945. So theses kids were SPOILED and kept from the hard knocks of their parents in 1945, 1946, 1947, 1948, 1949, 1950 kindergarten , 1951, 1952, 1953, 1954, 1955, 1956, 1957 Junior High School, 1958, 1959, 1960 high school, 1961, 1962, 1963 college, 1964 signed up for the draft, 1965 eligible for the draft, 1966, 1967 college graduation, 1968 masters grad school, 1969, 1970 PhD grad school, 1971, 1972 Hide in a commune if you are leftwing or hide in the national guard if you are rightwing.

I was a working class kid. My mother got to 6th grade during the great depression and my father to 9th grade. I was always studious and in the top class of each grade. I had to work in factories to go to college. I started college in September 1967. I noticed that all the leaders of the anti-war movement seemed very OLD to me. They were all in their mid and late 20s and I was 17. So contrary to many peoples belief it was NOT my end of the Baby Boomer generation, it was the early end. Actually, if you look at the birthdates of the most famous people in the anti war movement you will see theat they were born in the EARLY 1940s. I was born in late 1949. So the LEADERS of the antiwar people had lived a few years DURING the war and they lived with with their mothers while the father was gone to the war and he returned when they were a few years old. So they lived their first few years WITHOUT a dad at home and THEN got spoiled.

But anyway note that the baby boomers who were born in "1945" became 19 and eligible for the draft in "1964": The same year as the TONKIEN GULF resolution. (and the Beatles)

So now here is this new generation of spoiled brats reaching draft age just as a war breaks out. And these guys were NOT usually brought up with their religious heritage or their European heritage. The parents didnt want to be "too strict" with their kids and give them 'standards'.

It was never us working class kids who got into that 60s stuff, it was the spoiled Middle Class kids. My two best friends at college were working class kids and we were all Physics majors. It was the spoiled kids who kept changing their majors and majored in the easy classes so they could smoke pot and go to be-ins and all that.

There were other things causing America to change for the worse: The liberalization of the Roman Catholic Church in 1965 and the assassination of JFK in Late 1963. Plus the crazy Warren Court which suddenly became very anti-Christian. And in Summer 1965 two leftwing Jewish senators who hated Christianity finally succeeded in getting rid of the Immigration Quota system which kept bringing in more Christians than Asians. Now its just the opposite.
