Main stays of the Toronto indie scene for years, these purveyors of white
noise have finally graced it's public with their first commercially
available release, PLACES YOU CALL HOME.
On their debut CD release for teenage USA the MEAN RED SPIDERS skewer
eleven atmospheric pop-rock songs onto one big stick along with their
menacing guitars and melodic vocals.
MEAN RED SPIDERS are: LISA NIGHSWANDER - bass, GREG CHAMBERS - guitar, DAVE
HUMPHREYS - guitar, ADAM ROSEN - drums, MINESH MANDODA - korg
Since forming in 1995 the MEAN RED SPIDERS have been building a loyal
following of admirers in Toronto and Southern, Ontario. Renowned for their
live show, this five piece has sparkled along side MATADOR'S Bardo Pond and
KRANKYÆS Windy and Carl on the local club circuit.
Indie rock activists at heart, Dave, Greg & Lisa have organized five K.I.M.
festivals (Kanadian Independent Music) both in Toronto and Ottawa, to help
further those music scenes and foster a sense of community within the indie
scene.
