HISTORY

In the late 1950's, a U.F.O. crashed on an unsuspecting family and they were all killed. Due to some strange circumstances, Byron Stark, later known as Half-Life survived, but only partly. The parts of his body that were destroyed now were mimicked by some type of slimy green alien ectoplasm. Half-Life had amazing abilities. He could create shields, had some degree of superhuman strength, achieved virtual immortality, (ectoplasm is great for putting out fires!) and the ectoplasm had it's most practical use for scaring the heck out of people, of course he had no control over that... Half-Life went into seclusion for years and the Ravers ran into him when the Rave stopped by the desert where Half-Life and his family once lived. Kindred Marx offered him membership, and Half-Life accepted. He only joined to get revenge on the aliens that killed his family, and the rave was the only way for him to achieve this.

Half-Life had slowly but surely began to recall that the aliens responsible for his family's deaths were Qwardians shooting at a passive Xudarian vessel. Once Half-Life learned they were going to Qward to prevent a massive civil war, rejoiced that he would pay them back for all the hell they put him through. Half-Life put up quite a battle against the forces, but dealing with anti-matter weapons and such were too much for him regardless. He was killed in the fighting, but his spirit was enough to guide Kaliber and help him shoot targets and such that Kaliber could not see.

In the afterlife, Half-Life was reunited with his girlfriend from the fifties, Peggy Connor. They are together again in death.
