THE COACH



Larry Bird, "Indiana's Superstar", was named NBA Head Coach of the Year for the 97-98 season, making him only the fourth rookie coach to receive the award!! This was Larry's first year as an NBA coach, and I'm so glad that it was for my team the Indiana Pacers!! Bird was also recently elected for the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. With the 25th pick in the 98 NBA Draft, the Indiana Pacers selected Al Harrington. Albert Harrington, a 6'9 230 LB. forward, played for St. Patrick's High School in New Jersey. He is the youngest player to ever be drafted by the Pacers. Welcome to the Pacers Al!!!!!!
